Oh that's what I was going to ask, when are you supposed to start the perineal massage?

  • I think I read 34 weeks somewhere, but don't think it can hurt to start a bit earlier.

The sale looks tempting to me too, but I'm thinking I've not long left either and have enough clothes to last :-(

    Enjoy making your taggies :-)

    Hi all,

Sooooo tired today and have a bit of a poorly throat. :( Hav ehad it for a few weeks now, not sure if it is a side effect of the blocked up nose thing which has actually been a bit better over the last few days.

Kitten big hugs to you, can totally understand why you would be feeling anxious. I get nervous all the time - I like to describe myself as an optimistic realist, but I just can't seem to believe that there will actually be a little person coming home with me in another 9 weeks! I obviously don't want anything to go wrong, I just can;t help but worry that it will. I think it is a natural reaction, but I still try hard to just stay postive and not worry too much. :)

Who posted the New Look sale link? LMM! That's so naughty! :D I'm with Emsbet, I really can't justify buying any more clothes with 9 weeks to go, although I am so bored of everything that i wear now because I basically have leggings or jeans and then about four tops. I was sorting out stuff in the house yesterday and came across the storgae bag with all my regualr clothes in; I tried to ignore it totally as I hate the fact I can't fit in them at the moment! Can't wait for the moment when I can fit back in them though - it will be like discovering long lost treasure or something! I'll be finding loads of stuff that i even forgot I had!

As for the whole pooing yourself in labour, that is my biggest fear! I am sure the midwife will be lovely and they have seen it all before, but I just can't bear the thought of that happening! Oh well, guess I can't do much about it.

Off to first antenatal class tonight; OH has gone in a mood with me cos he hasn't got a lot on at work and wanted me to go and pick him up early! I wouldn't mind, but that means ME leaving work early too and I don't like taking the rip with things like that cos you never know when you really are going to have go a hour or so before finishing cos you don't feel well/have an appt etc. I did go home a few hours early last week cos I was soo tired and so OH has thrown this at me - I did explain that thet's exactly the reason why I can't just up and leave today! Honestly, it's all just too silly for words.

Hi to the newbies and labour vibes to anyone that needs them!

Just been looking through the hospital bags list and I feel that there are some things missing...

*Newborn teddy - cute for hospital photos... I have one of me and a teddy in the incubator when I was a baby :)
    * Disposable ready-made milks just incase you can't BF when you try ... most hospitals now make you take your own milk. SMA do a 12 pack of ready made ones for £17ish which I know isn't very MSE but otherwise you will have to take bottles, formula, steriliser etc
    * Ipod - there is not music devices on the list and I think I will want mine and I know other who would too.
*Spare clothes - For me in case i get kept in for a few nights.

We have a teddy, he's called Old Bear. He's actually the bear that my little brother had as a baby and he kept and now he wants to give it to his nephew. (My brother is 14 so it's very sweet) it's actually wearing my baby bro's first baby grow too although has been washed :)

I mentioned I was taking a fan with me but when I was in the other Sunday there were electric plug in fans in the delivery rooms so won't bother.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Kitten_Pie - hope you and your OH are holding up, it must be a difficult time for you. it does sound like medical staff are being very supportive with the scans and getting to listen to heart beat. i am sure everything will be fine.

Rebekah - hope baby turns for you tomorrow, will be thinking of you.

re pooing during labour - doesnt really bother me as i am more worried about ending up having a C-section or something wrong with baby etc

on annual leave today and tomorrow. loving it. went for a swim this morning thinking it would be quieter than a sunday morning but it was full of wrinkles! hehe

my bag and babies is packed apart from a few things i will put in at the last minute. 37 weeks today and feeling the pressure down there. baby has been moving lots and making my belly look like alien.

i have had no braxton hicks at all.....which worries me slightly even though the midwife said some women never get them.
