In regards to main contact about general enquiries is to either call your midwifes mobile or the oncall midwife at the hospital. Other to that we call the day assessment unit at the hospital or labour ward.

    Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry if I am needing more support than I am giving at the moment, just really anxious and trying to keep myself in check.

Currently 30+something and at 31 weeks exactly last pregnancy my boys stopped moving and I went into labour with them born shortly after. Mini_cub is keeping very active at the moment which is reassuring and I have 2 scans booked in over the next two weeks with my midwife happy for me to go in daily if I need to, to check the heartbeat. This is definitely helping however every niggle has me thinking is this the beginning of labour. I had a lower back ache yesterday (only for about ½ hour) and almost convinced myself that this was it. Trying not to wind OH up more than I already am he is just as worried so getting quite tense at home with us both trying not to worry the other.

I just keep planning Mini_cubs funeral which isn’t good and I know OH has written her eulogy many times over in his head.

Sorry for the long down post, I am not in a particularly down mood just need to let it out otherwise me and OH get into a spiral of worry which doesn’t help anyone.

Been thinking about you a lot lately, I knew we werent far apart so you would be coming up to that milestone,

I dont recall ever reading it but did you ever find out why you lost your boys ? (not expecting you to share with us here btw) Is that something that could happen this time or have you been left in limbo not knowing ?

You are bound to feel all kinds of emotions right now, hell any pregnant woman is up and down without the added memories and heartbreak you've had.

feel free to pm me if you ever want to chat x x x take care x x x

  • Morning again!

Kitten all I can offer are big hugs of encouragement for you and both to be worried and especially at this stage when things started to go wrong last time. I think until she is here safely you are both going to have that fear over you that something will go wrong. Maybe she is extra wiggly to remind you that she is doing well? Always feel free just to let it put on here Hun and we will support you the best we can. My PM is always open if you just want to talk and get feelings off your chest xxx
Gemma give them a ring hun, sounds like a long time for reduced movement. Could be now you're sat still you're noticing movements more.
Glad you gave your gran good send off.
Vitamin A as savage says we still need vit A, In fact we still need all the vitamins etc that we did before. These guidelines seem to cause panic. Everything in moderation is the key. Rups I had liver on my birthday back in March, everyone gasps in horror. Was assured that a one off or a few times during the whole 9months is very unlikely to cause damage, eating it everyday may. And I enjoyed every mouthful :)
AMC hope you're ok, sounds exciting. Maybe it's these BHs? If you've discharged maybe get yourself checked over?
Rups you won't be the first worried mummy with a list of questions, and you will not be the last! It's good where to know in advance. I've no idea where to go so I would prob go to A&E in the first instance out of hours. My local hosp has antenatal clinic but I've no idea if they do monitoring etc, I'm guessing not though. Just remember to take your list with you, not like me who's always forgetting mine ;) maybe take a notepd to write down the answers too?
Rebekah I'm putting the money on my nursery being the most unfinished! It's still like a junk yard! Didn't get an awful lot down yday apart from one box for the cs, vacuum pakced all the baby clothes to take up less room. Trying to declutter the room next door so we can move all the nursery stuff into there to decorate....phew it's tiring just thinking about it! Only two days until carpet time! :D

Well good news here. My work good friend work friend had her baby boy yesterday evening :j only a day after her due date! As far as I know all is well. I know she needed antibiotics after no think she's prob at the hospital still. My bf....well her womb is too comfy. Had a text just before midnight saying her waters had been broken and she was 4cm so was waiting for contractions to start. Not heard anything since, but I couldn't sleep properly and think i woke up every 15 mins to check for updates. God only knows how her family had coped, I'm shattered! So hopefully she's having mummy cuddles by now, she was induced on Saturday morning! She's also having a little boy :)

Well that's the labour news from my end of the wood. Has anyone heard from fluff? Been thinking of you and sending labour vibes to all those that need them. Hugs to those that need them too.

Think I'm going to play in my craft room, have a few baby cards to make ;)

    Have a good day all!

Thanks Mishka, we lost the boys due to TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome) Nathan donated his blood to Lincoln so Lincoln had a heart attack due to too much blood and Nathan didn't have enough.

It is something that only happens in twin pregnancies where there is a shared placenta (Identical Twins) so won't happen this time. Which I do keep reminding ourselves. It is just we are now acutely aware of everything that can go wrong.

We are no more likely to go into early labour or have any problems than anyone else but doesn't stop the worry.

Kitten, many of us are aware of what you have been through and you have no reason to apologise for needing a bit of extra support at the moment, it's completely understandable.

Try to remember that no 2 pregnancies are alike. Every time is different and I'm sure your little boys are up there looking out for their little sister. Try to stay positive hun, we are all here for you x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Thanks litlemiss. :) it is so nice toget reassurance from you all and not being judged as a weirdo worrier. :p

its hard so whoever says chill and enjoy it, will get a look from me :) i have started talking more about my mc and when people say dismissively that they are so common, i still go all defensive. yes they are common but the pain is still there. anyway am going off topic. i try and be positive but when had the scan and to when i see the midwife this week, there has been a gap and i cant help but worry. :(

i even do the stupid thing of putting my hands on the belly thinking and assuming i can feel a heartbeat. stupid i know!

((hugs)) Kitten, it's no wonder you're needing extra support and somewhere to vent. Fingers crossed that once you get past the next few weeks you can relax a bit. I know it will never be easy though. I'm sure no one here minds you posting, and you always have great advice for others, so don't worry about venting at us :) have a dodgy hug! :grouphug:
