i didnt have that much to eat after all that! had a little garlic bread but managed to have 5 chicken wings and boy were they yum! i also loved the sauce that came with it.. am looking forward to the cookie dough though. hehe. enjoying being a pig! :0) earlier DH went crazy hoovering upstairs and wanted my help with moving stuff. i tried but the bed etc was heavy so i said no. i am tired and hope i havent hurt myself or bubba (the paranoid me). xx

SavageHK, I don't get much very often because I carry on doing everything! If I don't do it, he moans that the house is a mess, says I'm lazy etc. it's more about I have other things to do apart from food shopping. cooking, washing, cleaning! It's a bit complicated because there's a lot he's never done before and I think he's ashamed of asking how things are done.

Rups and Laura, I tried telling him how I feel and he's even heard it similar from someone who's just had a baby (I hadn't told her to mention it btw, we were just asking how things were and she compared it to how things were during pregnancy) but that didn't work. Reading your posts made me think that doing stuff isn't helping so maybe that's where I'm going wrong. I should stop doing everything as usual! I don't really overdo it to the point where I'm putting myself and/or baby at risk but I know that I need to rest more if that makes sense.

hugs bikelesschick.. i think trying to chat to him when things are calm may help. it obv hurts male pride when they have to ask about stuff. maybe you can say something like 'are you able to help me out with ... please? meanwhile i can do .... as iam so tired?' ive had to change the way i have asked things from 'can you do this?' to please help me out, or is it ok for you to do this for me?'. men!! i hope you can sort this out. dont stress and dont def over do it as you need some rest too.

got another headache so logging off now. xxx speak tomorrow.

I've got an appointment with anesthetist at end of August, think its to discuss the epidural/c-sec issue with my injections.

My antenatal class is on 1st August and my 34 week scan should be between the two

I've got a scan next week but can't remember when. They sent me two appointments and I went in to ask and she amended it to just one but she's crossed both appointments out so gonna ring up in morning to check.

As for cleaning I do it all. There isn't anything I can't do since getting pregnant if that makes sense. Even though my back and hips hurt I still push through it. I do have a chair though so I can sit down to cook, load/empty the washer and dishwasher. OH will help if I ask but I tend to do it while he's at work cos I'm bored. Only thing I don't do is stairs as I lost my balance the other day and nearly went over the banister so my OH does them or my nan does them when she pops round. Only thing I hate is the laminate downstairs. I have to sweep it every day cos it attracts crumbs and dust.

Morning all!

Hope everyone has managed some sleep. I woke for a wee, then had to check my phone as my bf was induced on Saturday morning! Got a text at 23:30 saying she was 4cm and had her waters broken so I hope by now things are moving for her! Of course that got me all excited and I'm a bit awake now!

I had a great time at the wedding on Saturday. OH came too in the end as someone cancelled and he actually was off work bride looked beautiful, infact everything was wonderful. OH started saying things like "when we get married we could do this....." Very strange to hear him say these things then I remember we're engaged now lol. Bump got a lot of complements too had a little glass of champagne and felt quite lightheaded. Was home by half nine (wedding was 1:30) so didn't party the night away

Welcome to the newbies! I think everyone is welcome no matter what stage of pregnancy. I joined pretty much from the 12 weeks thread just between it seemed livelier over here....that seems like a long time ago now!
Rups I use E45. I wasn't sure if you meant as a general moisturiser or for stretch marks? I find it very soothing, but I've used it for a long time. I get mine on(long term) prescription I read GPs are saving money by not prescripting these kinda things unless there's a medical reason (not just dry/itchy skin) but may be worth asking for it anyway.
I think most of us went through that stage of feeling a bit fat before bump starts looking bump-like and you just look like you've eaten a few too many pies. It'll come though. I was a bit podgy to begin with so took bump a while fight through the flab! Now it's definitely a bump lol.
At your midlife appt ask her to hear the heartbeat if she doesn't offer. I'm sure that time my MW found it tricky to find him. For so early on he seemed to nearly be in my ribcage. So don't panic if it takes her a few mins to find the heartbeat.

Bikeless Chick sorry your OH isn't more understanding. Like someone said maybe get him to help you so he can see how it's done. My OH is very understanding telling me not to worry, but then he doesn't do it either so nobody does it which frustrates me. He's more frustrated with me as I don't know when to stop and will manically clean until I'm in a heap lol. Or you could suggest if he doesn't start helping that you'll need to get a cleaner in

Money puddle your scrapbook looks amazing! As does your bump! Was thinking that I should have done one, I've got a few bits I've kept. I've not written much down as wasn't really sure what what to record.
Rups if your not comfortable doing one at this time, you could write a few bits down, maybe feelings or little prompts so that after the 20 week scan you could start putting one together? I'm trying to think back and I can't remember too much now so it'll probably be mostly scan photos I think!
Emsbet hope you've rested well and your ankles are less swollen this morning. Sounds like a hot house! Think I would have melted!

Mrs Student I've seen the photo shoots and they look lovely. I'm very bad a taking my weekly/two weekly shot of my bump as it is! It'll be a lovely thing to keep and also some lovely shots of lo when they're here

LM I had to get a new bra about 12 weeks. But it wasn't so much the cup size more the rib cage measurement. Gone from DD to an E cup. I'll some you some boobage and bum if you still want
Bath time one tip, if you use any emollient in the bath for dry or itchy skin (E45, Oilatium, aqueous cream etc) be super careful. This I found out a couple of years ago as the oiliness makes the bath very slippy when getting out!
Child benefit thank you everyone. I though I'd heard about the capping too kitten but I remember not bing worried I don't earn nothing near 50k but an extra £80 a month will be lovely

Morning ladies
went to mothercare yesterday and got an angled wedge pillow to prop my bump up at night and a bump support band. Wore the band all afternoon/evening, and I did get less stretchy pains when standing up etc. Tried the pillow last night and it was really comfy to go to sleep on. Not sure how much use it was as it was on the floor this morning! Belly less achy today, though I couldn't wear the bump support with my jeans for work as it made them slide down even with a belt on! Will put it on when I get home though.

Ordered a load of maternity tops and another pair of jeans from M&P and Debenhams on thursday, and they've been despatched, so hoping not to rely on 1 pair of jeans and 4 tops to get me through the week at work from now on! :rotfl:

morning ladies. how are you all?

i cant believe Monday is here already and at work. hate this weather too.

i just remembered someone asking about levels of vitamin A in milk. i try and have a glass of milk everyday and i hope this is ok. I just recently started loving this juice from marks and this morning i saw it has added antioxidant Vitamin a, c and e and panicked. i read the back and it says 'not recommended if pregnant'. i have had half a bottle of 300ml. i hope i have not casued any damage.
