I'm wearing my famous new look blue maxi dress. Will glam it up with some jewellery etc. Not buying a specific glam dressed wear it once, saving pennies lol.

Cakes4brains- Congratulations on the girls. There seem to be a lot more people on team blue, so some more pinks were needed!

Rebekah - I feel tired just reading your list lol. It makes me realise how much I have to do/get. I still have a long time to get on with everything though.

LMM - sounds like you had a great day, but you've made me crave Phish Food before 7am now :rotfl:

My son seems determined to get me back into the habit of getting no sleep. He's been up before 5am for the fourth day running. I am so tired!

Rebekah - love your list!! I need to do the same. Thats a great thing to do this morning. Although I know i have covered off most of the bits you have to do.

AMC - I know how you feel about getting midwife appointments. I had to go this week as needed to get birthing centre assessment done (should have been done at wk 34 appoint but baby was suspected breech). When I went on Tuesday she has asked to see me in two weeks time so for us both 39+4 and also requested a 41+4 week appointment (hoping i'm not going to need that one). I think if your really concerned you need to speak direct to the midwife you've been dealing with. I did that after some panicked phone calls because I couldn't get in for this weeks and needed the assessment done.

Mummies - I have a problem with my mum and need your advice!!!

At what point are you planning to have the first visitors when bubba is born? Is anyone going to have the grandparents waiting at the hospital while in labour?

It transpires my mum has it in her head that she was going to be in the hospital while im in labour and wants to be there the moment he is born (not in the room while he is popping out). I am however horrified by the thought of this! In my mind I was hoping we'd be at home before we start getting the first visitors. She's now misinterpretted this and thinks I dont want her around and she won't be involved in the baby which isnt true at all (this actually makes me quite upset that she could even think this). I'm just naturally private person and feel me and baby's dad should have this time together for bonding. It doesnt help that we are 5 hours away...

I've not heard this direct from her, but my brother who lives with her rang me yesterday just worried about her. Apparently she was really upset on monday about it so I have to broach the subject tonight.

Clarissa - Personally I would like my mum to be there at the hospital. But that's because we're very close and see each other most days (except at the mo coz she's living in France - which is very hard!). I think Dad would probably come when baby's nearly ready or as soon as it's delivered and I think in-laws would be the same. I also have a brother and sister and BIL, again we are all very close so would expect them to visit us in hospital depending on time of day, work etc. Everyone else I would want to give us a few days to settle in to a bit of a routine at home before being bombarded with visits. Except maybe grandparents who would come maybe the following day. The problem is I'm very close to all my family and most of us all lived in the same village for 20 years!

31 weeks today! I have MW appt this afternoon so get to leave work 2 hours early, I'm so excited about that! I need a break from the place. I'm very keen to find out which way baby is lying. I just can't work it out. Most of the movements are still around by my belly button, always on the right side so at least I know what side it is. But I can't figure it out, surely if baby was head down/breech then movements would be higher/lower accordingly? I've no idea what bits are where!

seems an early start for lots today, some mornings its really quiet untill about 9.30am.

Rebekah thats some list, I am trying to leave as much as I can untill mat leave so that I dont get too bored but OH did ask last night if I had even thought about starting our hospital bag, bless him he is convinced that our lo is coming early im only 31+3 so hope not too soon :eek:

It seems I have been very lucky re: streach marks and bras, I have allways done whole body moisturising after baths with body butters but have been covering tummy twice a day since finding out and so far no marks. Bras have been a bit more of an issue but still seems to be comfortable in a few of my originals, just as well really because allready vary between 30/32 G/GG and didnt fancy getting much bigger. My bump has finally passed my chest when giving OH a hug, thought that would never happen.

Clarissa62 I havent even given it a thought, i just presumed that all being well i would be home within 24hrs so wouldnt need any hospital visitors. Hope you can reasure your mum that she has misunderstood.

Off to work in a min, only 2hrs this morning then might tidy the house a bit and perhaps start a must buy list for hospital bag
