Hi Ladies, my scan was amazing! Babies are perfect according to the consultant and are even measuring slightly larger. Said I looked more like 21 weeks than 20 which is fantastic for twins. I have 1 baby laying down each side of my belly, 1 is head down, the other is breech.
Was also told the placenta's were anterior which I thought meant you wouldnt be able to feel the kicking etc, yet I've been feeling kicks and movements since around week 15? Though these have reduced a lot in the last few days

And Im team pink! Yay :j:j Both are gorgeous little girls and I couldnt believe the difference from the 12 week scan. Was on a total high when we got out. OH shed a little tear when we were told they were girls as he was really wanting at least 1 girl, having already got 2 older sons. I cant believe it and Im so excited and cant wait to go shopping for pink things :T

Bras, I really need to invest in a maternity bra, well I do for my left b00b anyway :rotfl:. The right one doesnt seem to have grown at all, is this normal?! Im normally 38F and can only wear non-wired as they always seem to dig in otherwise

And Im sick of people asking me 'Are they natural' when they find out Im having twins. I feel like answering, 'no they're plastic'. Fair enough, they were conceived with IVF but what makes complete strangers feel they can ask such a personal question

Names - not sure who asked but we've not even thought about names yet. Wanted to find out the sexes first to make the job a bit easier! Its such a huge responsibility I find it a bit scary tbh . OH had the bright idea earlier of us each naming one baby. Thats a definite no-no, I dread to think what he would come up with :rotfl:

Yay for two girlies Cakes4Brain :)

No-one has mentioned my weight to me, I don't think they dare because they will get a rolicking. I don't sit and comment on the size of their lunch, how many bites they take out of a sandwich, if they are pear shaped or big busted, or very slim so I will be damned if I'm gonna let them do the same to me.

I've sorted out my maternity leave. 6 weeks holiday starting on the 22nd July then my Maternity Leave starts on the 26th August :) Glad to have finally got something sorted now anyway.

My OH has gone out on his bike and was meant to be back for 7, I've started making tea, some of which was meant to be pasta although after splashing my stomach with boiled water out of the pan it doesn't really seem as appealing anymore now. :(
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

Congrats Cake4brains! I have a browse on the baby and bump forum every now and again and someone recently posted that they found out at 8 months gone that there was not 1 but 2 babies! At least you have more preparation!

Hope everyone else is doing ok? We need some babies, there's been a quiet patch!

Is anyone else really struggling with swollen feet? The last couple of days mine have swelled but today they have been awful. The right one has got huge and it really aches, it feels like it may burst and is like a pins and needles feeling. It's very difficult at work as I can't really elevate them. Luckily I have MW appt tomorrow so will mention it to her. We kept joking that they resembled an elephant's foot, but that's really the case, my toes are even sticking together!

Looking forward to the weekend, going to have a browse in tesco at the baby event and see if there are any bits for the hospital bag. I like the idea of having another bag with stuff at home that hubby can just get stuff from or bring to the hospital if you stay longer than expected (think that was you Rebekah who plans to do that?).

Oh and Emsbet love your little blanket. How did you do the tags, do you just cut strips of material and sew on? I'm no good with sewing but might get my gran to make one. I think one gran is knitting cardis at the mo and the other is knitting a blanket!

I LOVE the Mamas and Papas gingerbread blanket http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-gingerbread-striped-knitted-blanket/786009400/type-i/ but it's rather expensize so going to give my gran the challenge of making a similiar one!

    evening ladies

emsbet - blanket is fab, love the pattern.

cake4brains - 2 girlies, should be fun:) glad to hear your scan went well

i have had an annual leave day today, to break up the week and rest a bit. loved it, went into town for a couple of hours which i really enjoyed havent had much time for browsing and shopping lately. loads of places have sales on, john lewis have mainly clothes in their sale pink/blue 3 pack vests for £5 etc and mothercare had loads of stuff on sale.

    i brought these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Faye-Lou-Rainbow-Muslins-Pack/dp/B005KLEGFY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341429652&sr=8-1
from john lewis , they are expensive but i love rainbow stuff and i had a £15 gift voucher so only paid about £14.
also noticed john lewis sell the medula swing for £95 which is a really good price same as amazon

also ladies if you get brought something you dont like/have already defo try taking it back even if you dont have a receipt, mothercare and john lewis have both let me do this recently.

got some strange looks in town today at 36+2 weeks pregnant, people look at you like you are abnormal! lol

weight - i have put on 2 stone and 4 pounds so far and when midwife felt for baby last week she said its all baby, so not too worried.

oh yes, holland and barrett have a buy one get one half price sale - could stock up on raspberry leaf tea

    hope everyone is well,

    Laura

Yup i've been browsing forums for a caesarean list to see if it was any different at all. Depending on how quick you deliver the other advise is to take a labour bag and a postnatal bag seperate then hubby can take home the labour one. Just wanna know what way i'm delivering then I can rearrange. Right now i'm planning on 2 days with the spare at home. If I ask hubby for X nighty leggings or baby grow I could end up with anything otherwise :rotfl:

My hands and feet are terribly swollen too. My right foot a lot more swollen than my left foot - weird. I'm getting pins and needles too. Getting DH to massage it for me when he comes home from work :D
But my fingers are worst. When I wake up I can't even bend them they're so sore. Mentioned to MW but she said it's normal.

Hi everyone, I have got one maternity breastfeeding Anita bra which I bought from Figleaves, and I'm waiting for another to arrive from JojoMamanBebe – both underwired as I prefer the support. I ordered this one as JoJo is cheaper and free postage too whereas Figleaves you have to wait for offers:

Was a 34C/D before pregnancy, now about 36E/F.

Re. sleeping I can only sleep on my left or right side, been that way for ages. I used to wake up a few times in the night anyway, now it's every 2–3 hours and I turn from one side to the other throughout the night!

Just wondering if I will get to see the midwife again before baby comes. He probably won't come early but midwife said to come back 2 weeks after last appointment and I couldn't get one until what will be nearly 3 weeks after the last one, and only 3 days before due date. I rang midwife for advice and left message on her phone but she hasn't got back to me yet. Probably shouldn't worry.
