    Congrats on the birth of Teddy MrsBryan. Great birth story.

    Happy Birthday sexymouse! Hope you enjoyed your Starbucks. Sounds nice.

    I had a not very nice experience seeing the hospital physiotherapist about my SPD on Friday. After looking me up and down she announced that I am having a big baby because I "look like I'm about to deliver not like I've still got ten weeks to go". How on earth she can tell the size of my baby just by looking at my bump I do not know. She's not a trained midwife, she doesn't know what she's talking about. And okay, I am quite big because I was overweight to start with but I'm really not that big for 30 weeks. So rude. Unfortunately, she caught me at a vulnerable moment and I ended up getting really upset. I cried the whole way home from the hospital (on the bus!) and it took DH ages to calm me down. Stupid woman. She wasn't even any help with my SPD. I don't want to see her again so I'm looking into private osteopathy instead now.

    On a more positive note DH and I attended our second NCT antenatal class yesterday and it was fab. The teacher is just so positive and enthusiastic about giving birth that I came out thinking it's going to be great and I can't wait to do it! I'm looking forward to next weeks class already.

    Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I'm off for an afternoon nap now...

    Don't feel ashamed - it's perfectly normal to be scared; I know I was, and I'm sure most people are. You may find that arming yourself with as much information as possible makes you feel more in control and a bit less worried; talking through your fears with someone who understands what you're going through (e.g. an understanding midwife, a trusted friend) might also help. And we're all here to listen and support in any way we can. And remember that elective c-section IS an option if eventually you just can't face the idea of going through labour. I hope you're still able to enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to the big prize at the end of it: your gorgeous little baby, who will be worth everything you've been going through during these nine months. Big ((hugs)) to you.
    Nutella, I can say in words how good I felt after I read you reply. I never talked to anyone about my this. After my mc, I thought I would feel different and I would be...just a little bit nervous but not scared as I'm now. I try not to think but then when I read stories about birth I'm :eek:. I will have to speak to my MW as when I had my booking appointment I asked her not to have the birth options chat as it was too soon (it was all a lie as I wasn't ready to talk about this subject :().

    I would love to know that I DO have all the options available to deliver my baby (including via a c-section) but everywhere I read it said that you have to have a really good reason to have a c-section (breech baby, previous c-section) and not just the "too posh to push" justification. Sooo sad when I hear people saying that. I'm not posh, I just can't see myself going through labor and also not resenting my baby or hubby for putting me in that position. Hope I'm not a bad person thinking like that.... I'm really greatful that I'm pregnant and that God gave me another chance to be a mummy but it's just really hard to be happy when I know that I have to give birth :(.

    I feel sooo much better now that someone knows about it.

    Happy B-Day SM :beer::beer::beer:!!!

    LOL! I know its mad isn't it! I said I feel like i'm off on some 6 month holiday or something! Although tbh I maybe slightley over the top as at the current time I am planning for a 2-3 day stay post caesarean. Should things go right for me then I will deffo reassess and take a lot of stuff out. I was wondering how many sleepsuits and vesties I was going to need in a day...Packed 5 of each so far. Guestimating at 1-2 days and hubby can take the filth home and bring me in some new ones LOL.

    Elelyn it never ceases to amaze me how people feel the right to comment on your bump size without any medical training in the matter - I suppose that's why all of those emails tell you about dealing with unhelpful advice etc. I'm pleased you enjoyed your NCT antenatal classes - ours are due to start in a few weeks I think (must look up the dates as my last cheque to them is dated today, so I won't receive the info until it's been paid in and cleared) so I'm looking forward to them. Also looking forward to meeting other parents-to-be due in the same month as us (we are going to the September group). What have you covered so far in your classes? Mine is a 16-hour course, so not sure if it's the same length as yours or not as they seemed to vary when I booked mine.

    Was in MrT yesterday and saw something that I may get for my hospital bag (cheapest there at £2.32 at the moment as introductory offer) - I'm assuming it'll work just as well in a shower if there is no bath option. Don't know if this helps anyone as an idea, as it's fragrance-free and contains arnica for healing any bruising.

    Big hugs ikkle - hope you're feeling better soon. Have they given you anything you can do to ease your pain? Are you allowed a hot waterbottle or anything?

    Rebekah - a stressful time for you, made worse by MIL being about, it is nice for people to help but you dont want them taking over. my mum and MIL both live 10 min car journey away - there is no chance i would have MIL staying in my house lol my OH would agree - normally an hour is all we can manage with her.

    KAtyLiz - the place in stamford is called the cosy club, i think it opened about 6 months ago. really nice place, lots of other food choices as well as tapas. book a table ahead of time because it is really busy.

    Mrs Bryan - thanks for the birth story, didnt realise there could be so much water, you used lots of pads! pics of teddy on facebook are cute. crazy about the amount of breast milk as well! which reminds me i must get some breast pads.

    OH was feeling baby today do its crazy alien type movements, he looks at me worried and said we need it out hehe movements are not keeping me up at night though just hip/back pain.

    my family are so keen for me to have a girl, i hope they wont be disappointed if its a boy, will mean the 4th boy baby.

    36 weeks tomorrow, the third trimester has gone really quickly - baby should definately be here in the next 6 weeks :)
