On a bloody boat. My cabin won't stop vibrating and I can't sleep. As my daughter is with me I can't even go for a wander around the boat grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Plus if I don't sleep in the next five hours I will never be fit to drive four hours home in morning grrr

RJhugs, hope you got some sleep! Insomnia has got me again for the last two nights - awake at 3am and not getting back to sleep! Will have to have afternoon nap to compensate!

RJ - why are you on a boat hun? I hope you did manage to get some rest in the end.

Looks like it's a DVD day in bed for me today, my hips are so bad I can hardly bloody walk was so painful to even get up to go to toilet and it's had me awake now for ages. I tried sitting up with OH before he went to work but it's no good and he's told me to go back upstairs and stay there.

Hour boat journey and five hour drive home. Still on boat. Nearly at Liverpool. I'm pooped

Oh goodness that sounds horrible, especially when your pregnant and tired. Is there anyone else who can help you out with the driving hun. I hope you had a nice time with your family though x

Just me. Would be much easier if I could fly but not worth the hassle. Will break it up with soft play etc on the way down. Caffeine freeway may have to be sacrificied

LittleMoog - yes, Kettering this time. Most of my family still live in Bedfordshire villages/Kempston, and Beds will always be 'home' to me

rjh the trip sounds exhausting, I hope you get home safely and have a big rest up once you're back.

ikkle I hope you're feeling better soon. My SPD means I struggle to walk some days so I know how frustrating it can be.

Re scans - I've lived in 3 completely different areas for my pregnancy's, but they all had the basic dating and anomaly scans only policy. In Bedfordshire they wouldn't even give an extra scan for growth, whereas in Wales they loved giving out growth scans. Here in Northants I think 2 scans is the norm, but because of my miscarriage history I had one at 8 weeks too, and I will have 3 more to check growth.

I thought Costco have really good deals at nappies. My firiend bought 180 nappies for £19-20 not long ago and I thought that was a good price. Please let us know if that's the case.

So weird that in some places you get a growth scans and in some areas you don't :mad:.

It is amazing how much areas differ in their treatment. In my area they offer only the dating and anomoly scans unless either you've had past problems or there's an issue with the size of your bump or other detected problems. Due to my history of mcs I had scans every two weeks during the first trimester, I then had the dating scan and two anomoly scans as little monkey wouldn't let the first sonographer see the heart or his face. I feel lucky though that my area offers the extra scans in the first tri for ladies who've had two or more mc's as in a lot of areas they won't do that until you've had three in a row.
