Whilst hunting for the mothercare baby club vouchers online I came across a website which lists different bits and pieces regarding freebies and clubs to join etc. Any how I came across this one http://!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/index.php and I just wondered if anyone had used them before or heard of them? I'm just wondering if its too good to be true so to speak considering they are offering two bags etc if you refer someone and sign up yourself (I'm assuming thats all they are asking for any way) and I dont want to give them all my details and find out its a scam or something.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far

Oh just seen how the web address comes up wonder if that means its naughty.

Just got my letter through from my employer saying I'm not entitled to SMP and need to apply for SMA at the job centre. Has anyone done this yet and what do you have to do? They've sent me back my MATB1 form and also another form stating the reason I can't get SMP.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

You need to download an MA1 form from here, it's about half way down. Then you need to fill it in and send with your MATB1 form and payslips for I think 13 weeks worth.

    xx

ETA you post it to them and then you should get the money. You chose either fortnightly or monthly payments. You can't send it until 26 weeks and the earliest it can start is 29 weeks. If you still plan on working until later in your pregnancy then I think you tell them when you want it to start, I think.

Thanks emsbet - I think I may see if I can pop into the local jobcentre on Wednesday as have the day off cos of my glucose load test, and that way we can also ask about the surestart grant and any other benefits we may be entitled to at the same time. Luckily I'm meticulous at keeping all of my payslips, so should have all the evidence I need.

  • Ah Fluff, here's hoping baby makes an appearance on the 1st then!

LMM hugs to you hun, hope you are feeling better soon.

Re CHEEKY WIPES, I have an email which will let friends have £5 off their standard kit (usually costs £39.95) - am I okay to offer this to everyone on the forum? Don't want to do anything that breaks the rules so sorry if I am not meant to! If it is okay, and anyone wants the offer PM me with your email address and I will forward it on to you.

Went round to check on parents house today as they are on holiday; there was a card from Royal Mail to say they had left two packages in the meter box but there was nothing there! They didn't even fill the card in properly so I have no idea who the packages were delivered to (i often get my parcels sent there) and no idea what date they tried to deliver either! Going to phone Royal Mail in a bit to complain but I know that they won't do anything! I guess I should report it to the police as well? they'll only give a crime number and won't take it any further, but I suppose it still needs to be logged. Will have to work out with my Mum and Dad which things we have ordered are missing now!

LO is moving around LOTS today; belly is sticking out at all sorts of angles! Off into town now to get some packaging stuff for ebay goodies finishing tomorrow, might get some carob raisins too - they're a real weakness of mine!

Have a great day all! x

This thread moves so fast, I haven't managed to read back through all the posts yet!

MissMonkeyMoo definitely complain, I'm not sure if they'll do anything, but at least it'll be on their systems if it happens again. DH used to be a postman, and he would've got in trouble if he didn't fill cards out properly/left packages. But they don't seem to care about customers anymore, so I'm not sure if that still applies.

Little_Miss_Moneysaver hope you're feeling better now. Enjoy the scan, I bet that'll be exciting.

I went to Ikea with DH yesterday. I was shocked by how cheap the cots were, a couple were cheaper than buying a moses basket! I might not bother with a moses now I've seen the cheap cots. They had some lovely bedding for boys too, but I wasn't as impressed with the girly things. I couldn't buy for baby yet though, so I was only browsing. My budget was all for living room storage, and we came away with a car full of boxes. Lucky DH gets to put it all together :D

My mum just bought me a 3-6 pram suit...sooooooooo cute. She says she's going to start bringing round all the baby stuff she's got me over the next week. This is a truely exciting time. It's mainly clothes apparently. It really is like my birthday this year! I normally hate my birthday - but can see it being a good one for a change. Not least because I get to spend it with my hubby (although part of it will be in hopsital...doh).

re going over your dates and resisting induction, its totally your decision as long as you and baby are fine i wouldnt worry too much. in france they count you to 41 weeks.
I do remember reading somewhere now that for Asian ladies it's more of a problem to go overdue for some reason, presume genetics of some kind! So perhaps if you are of Asian origin I'd be a bit more worried?

I have some LL Bamboo but they take an age to dry. I have some Tots Bots Easy Fits and Some Bumgenius.
When I was looking at which to get (currently got LL Bamboo & LL cotton) it seemed that the LL Bamboo were great for nighttime because of the absorbency, but of course that means they take longer to dry. So I got some bamboo and some cotton. We'll see how it goes :)

Clearly baby has moved. He's kicking much lower down than he ever has...feels very weird. It's like he's arguing with my knicker elastic. Ha ha.
