Thanks guys for your concern. I'm lucky I just slid down the last few steps of the stairs so got carpet burns/bruises, could have been nasty if I'd fallen from the top! My husband said I'm not allowed to wear flip flops on the stairs now. I am a bit clumsy
I've put a bid on a Medela Electric Swing breast pump on eBay though it's 4 days away from finishing. There are a lot on there which is good, although not many accept returns – just in case I decided I'd only bid on one where the seller accepts returns.
I don't have a birth plan yet either and I'm 36+3. I'm going to write something down asap now I'm off work. As I said it will basically be that I'm aiming for a water birth with gas and air and hopefully there won't be any complications.
I also need to start getting my labour bag ready just in case. Plenty to do!
Re. maternity clothes, I think I've said before on here but I got a number of things as follows:
Maternity trousers & jeans plus 1 top from Next maternity (online only – no in-store maternity section)
Some tops in the next size up so bigger (not maternity) from Dorothy Perkins (none of my local DPs have a maternity section which was disappointing)
1 x maternity black dress from ASOS
2 x dresses from JoJo Maman Bebe –!would highly recommend for really flattering pretty dresses
1 x maternity nightdress from JoJo with breastfeeding bit in the top
Pack of 2 x sleep bras from JoJo
1 x grape tankini from JoJo (so I can keep up with the swimming!)
1 x maternity bra with breastfeeding opening from Figleaves.com (Anita bra)
So it was basically a mix 'n match exercise on my part. I tried to get away with not buying too much because thankfully, you're not pregnant foreverThe good thing about one of the JoJo dresses is that it has a tie-front top so you can wear it post-pregnancy and breastfeed too. They always have ongoing voucher codes as well so you can get either a 10 or 15% discount and postage is free.

*delurk*
Sorry to drop in like this, I read every day but after upsetting someone once on the TTC thread i figured it was best to lurk and not post as I didnt want to hurt anyone else's feelings by saying something stupid.... anyway,
Was my EDD on Sat (23rd) and I'm still here, I've been on holiday for 2 weeks and my mat leave starts today, I am bored of waiting, tearing my hair out, I feel like an exhibition on show in a musem with people phoning to enquire about ticket availability or something for the unveiling!! sorry for ranting, i know im not really achieving much by doing this but I am home alone all day every day and the thought of another 2 weeks of this is pushing me close to insanity!
Anyway I just wanted to thank you all very much for being so kind, helpful and informative, i dont think i would have survived the last 9 months without stalking you all!! You help people who dont post too so keep it up girls!0 -
Hey LMG,
Lovely to see you, you graduated from the TTC thread before I joined. If it is any help I think the comment was taken out of context so don't worry about discussing your fears and keeping us all company while you wait.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

 LMG, I remember you from TTC thread, I'm sorry you've felt you couldn't post here more often
I hope LO doesn't keep you waiting much longer.
I now have my appointment for my physio on my hips. It's a group session apparently with 8 or 9 other women. Has anyone any experience of group session for SPD/PGP? What should I expect? Will it just be various exercises?

omg i have just caught up! so fast here.
good luck rjh, hope all went well.hope you are ok too AMC. and hope everyone is well.
i passed my theory driving test this morning. am still in my bubble land about the baby so i wasnt bothered if i failed or not. lol. just thought could re-sit it..
well since yesterday been having random period type pains and this morning too. i know they come and go but mine were just there. also went to the loo at the test centre and i squated so when i got up, i felt a sharp pain in my side/lower back region. weird. then today i just feel like a weird pull inside. i hope this is normal? sorry i know i keep asking.
then after the test i popped into debenhams to check out maternity wear. they had some butnot a huge choice so i bought leggings and those bump bands (it cost only 7 quid). the thing is have no jeans or nice tops (maternity) so i tried a size 16 but they were kind of snug jeans. so i thought if i buy a bigger pair they might be more comfy? i need new clothes as am popping out of my size 12 clothes..:( the matalan in croydon doesnt have maternity stuff. i dont want to spend too much but knowing my luck i will have to.
also booked in my 16 week appointment with the midwife in two weeks time. i was going to ask what happens there, but when LadyM mentioed heartbeat, i was like wow. i hope all is still well with my bubba.cant stop worrying slightly. x

Sounds normal to me Rups. I still get random period type pains and stretching pains quite often. It's just your little baby growing and your body stretching to accomodate him or her

Congratulations Rups, really chuffed for you.
It is normal to worry throughout the pregnancy about every niggle or when you don't have niggles.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Welcome LMG.
Rups - I think it's normal to worry, especially when you've had problems in the past. Well done on passing your theory.
The midwife says that I have low blood pressure at the moment, but I suspected that anyway, but at least it's better than high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia!2019 Wins
