For plus size maternity stuff - try Next up to a 22 (but they're fairly generous fitting) - you'll have to order it online as opposed to in-store, but I lived in their black jersey trousers for work, coupled with some long floaty non-maternity tops - got me through the entire pregnancy.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Embet there is no point focusing on dates. I know it is hard but if you focus too much you will send yourself mad. Your children know that you think about them often which is better than only on specific days.
It is a shame though, October used to be my favourite month however I lost my dad in October and my boys the same day (different years). Don't think I will ever be able to let that day go again.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Afternoon everyone!
Thanks again to whoever recommended Mothercare nightshirt and night gown. Went there today and got both - bogohp and £5 off voucher so paid £26 instead of £40 :j
With all the walking I did I think my LO dropped down a bit as it got really painful walking, I could literally feel something pressing my muscles down below. Plus he's been really really active for the past three days. It's very unusual as normally after an active day he would have a quite one but this time he's jumping up and down non stop. My MIL thinks the baby is getting into position but I never heard about babies being hyperactive before labour. Have you?
Re birth plan - I'm 37+4 and still no birth plan. I'll maybe do one this week although I'm really flexible. It's my first baby so don't know what to expect and am not sure if will be able to do it just on gas and air. My pain threshold is really low I think. I don't mind painkillers, epidural etc and won't even mind a section, although the thought of forceps or venthouse makes me shiver.
Re clothes size 18 and over - I've loads of size 18 from New Look and and some size 18 and 20 from George. They're mostly casual but soooo comfy.
I forgot who but someone was asking about getting maternity trousers for work - have a look at bump bands. Maternity trousers tend to last only a few weeks before you need ones with more bump space. My work dress code is business/business casual (depending on client meetings) and I found bump band ideal, only had to wear slightly longer tops.
Off to start packing my bags. Have a nice afternoon!0 -

mishkanorman wrote: »Next sale is next month isnt it ? we got a huge bag of newborn bits for only about £30 from the sale - they are still usable for baby number 3 and are in great condition.
BUT ! I couldnt afford to get the whole baby wardrobe from there as its just not feasible - I've picked up some from eBay, the last bits are still in the current catalogue and were less than £5 for 3 sleepsuits (pretty patterned ones not just plain white) and added supermarket bits that dont matter if they dont last ages (the basics like vests)
As I don't have a store near me or an account (so no chance of the vip sale) I doubt Ill be lucky enough to get anything worthwhile in the saleWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
Afternoon all!
I feel so pukey and tired today! I think I have regressed to the first trimester again
Can't concentrate on work and am SO BORED! Grumble grumble...
For those asking about maternity wear, I have managed so far with a bump band and some leggings from a regular shop. I think I look OK so far, but I'm stalking some Isabella Oliver stuff on ebay for a wedding. It's gorgeous but so expensive!
If you want to be a bit MSE though, they have a 50% off sale at the minute - although they don't have what I want in my size
Some good bargains to be had, especially in formal gear.
Can't believe I'm now in the teens!:eek: Seriously!!
Had a lovely moment with the OH last night - he was telling me that he had been talking to someone about the imminent arrival of monkey and he started welling up! Apparently this happens every time he talks or thinks about being a dad. Awwwwwwww.
He is going to be one big soggy mess when monkey arrives. Mind you, so will I!

Busy day here. Completed another load of laundry in the kitchen sink. I feel like a 1940's lady LOL. Baby a bit quieter today but happy. Completed my second wall painting yesterday. Tonight need to paint skirting boards and go shopping for carpetto.0
