Does anyone know where I can get some pretty girly sleepsuits that are good quality but not too expensive? With my other 2 we splashed the cash on clothes but this time round we are needing to budget but even looking on George they are roughly £5 a sleepsuit and when DD was in them 12 months ago they were poor quality and did not wash well.

Buy Next, you won't regret it, they're about £5 each from there I think a 3 pack varies between £12 and £15 but the re-sale value is very good, and they wash brilliantly. My supermarket babygrows have all bobbled and shrunk. x

Next sale is next month isnt it ? we got a huge bag of newborn bits for only about £30 from the sale - they are still usable for baby number 3 and are in great condition.

BUT ! I couldnt afford to get the whole baby wardrobe from there as its just not feasible - I've picked up some from eBay, the last bits are still in the current catalogue and were less than £5 for 3 sleepsuits (pretty patterned ones not just plain white) and added supermarket bits that dont matter if they dont last ages (the basics like vests)
    Bow Ties ARE cool

    Afternoon all!

I haven’t posted for a few days but have been reading along. Welcome to any newcomers that I haven’t said hello to already.

disziebubba - Matalan do maternity clothes in size 18 and over. I’ve got a few lovely things from there and they’re not expensive. And yes, I am also feeling the heat. I’m normally someone who is always moaning about being cold so it’s amusing to all my work colleagues that I now sit there sweating and fanning myself because I’m boiling!

We started our antenatal classes on Saturday. We’re really lucky because in our area the council are paying for NCT classes for anyone that wants to attend. It’s an 8 week course run at one of the local children’s centres for two hours each week. This week was all about the different stages of labour. I really enjoyed it and learnt a few things I didn’t know (thought I knew it all already, ha!). I’ll never look at box of Dairylea triangles in the same way again though....

Been to hydrotherapy at the hospital this morning to try and help with my SPD. The physio running the class recommended that I not go to work this afternoon but stay at home and just rest instead so that’s what I’m doing. Luckily my work are fine about me taking time off if I need it. Going to have some lunch and then take myself off to bed for a sleep I think...

dizsiebubba I have got clothes from yours which aren't maternity but the clothes are in bigger sizes and have been great for over the bump without making me feel huge. I get the idea that they are naturally designed to hide tummies while flattering the rest of the figure :D

I have bits from here and evans too taht are still ok to use but its more bits like jeans and work trousers i'm struggling with... currently living in leggings and maxi dresses as so comfy!!

Just had a nightmare trying to find an outift for a christening this saturday as nowhere stocks maternity wear except for vests and leggings it seems :( OH won't let me wear my day to day maxi dresses as they are not dressy enough (and he is right!)

I got my jeans and work trousers from debenhams however I think I was lucky. Went in their recently and there was nothing there.

Ebay can be quite good too. Also living in leggings and maxi dresses although have a maxi dress for a wedding which I am not wearing at the moment to try and keep it looking nice.

I realised yesterday that I missed the year anniversary of when we lost the first baby. It was a couple of weeks ago and it just totally slipped me by and I felt really guilty about it :( DH said it's ok and we need to be looking to the future. I know he's right but I do feel guilty.

I remember we lost our first babies around the same time last year. I spent the whole day on pins waiting for something to go wrong a couple of weeks ago (stupid I know) so you're better off not realising what day it was. Don't feel guilty, you don't need to remember dates to remember your babies. xxx

Have you looked at New Look? I've found my maternity stuff from there is quite oversized - I'm normally a 16/18 in trousers, and the 16s I got from there are too big. You might be able to get something in time for the weekend as they do have a range in store (unlike almost everywhere else )

Thanks but mine doesn't do maternity wear :( They have the larger sizes in normal clothes but they just hang like a sack of potatoes :'(

Thanks :o I know you're right, when it was Alex's due date in April, I got myself into a right state, I had some weird rash that appeared all over my body that day and had to go for an emergency appointment at the doctors and I thought that it was all going to go wrong again.

I feel bad if I don't think about them then I feel bad if I do as I feel like I should be focusing on this baby and not the past.

I find that new look clothes (maternity) fit over the bump nicely but they don't fit my boobs so it all hangs and give me an unflattering look. (The part that is meant to go under the boobs to bring the clothes in stops at nipple hight :o)

I have always had the problem as I am a 36HH pre pregnancy it is hard finding clothes that fit the boobs without swamping the rest of me. (Although unfortunately the rest of me is catching up) :D
