Oh my god the list is moving too fast.
MrsBryan, my mum got married and my baby brother (as he was at the time, he's a teenage PITA now lol) wore a suit, shirt and waistcoat. He looked so cute. He wore it for the ceremony and photo's and then when we got back to the reception he was changed into something else.
I've received an appointment for a scan on the 13th July this morning. I've been booked in for one on the 11th July already though, but I remember when they booked me they said I was to go to the department which is where I had my 20 week scan, whereas the appointment I've received today says to go to the place they told me they do growth scans so I wonder if they have made a mix up. I've got my 2nd GTT on Monday so will ask them to clarify it then, just seems a little strange. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

i'm not sure i'm ready for this
Any one got any links on how to do this moxa moxi thingimagigie. Would need to be able to do myself though as hubby will just look at me like I have gone loon tune and tell me where to go in not very polite terms.
Todays jobs: More laundry in the kitchen sink, Avoid killing myself on hubbys tools all over the kitchen floor, try carseat in car, put the pram back down (only practiced with this twice!!) , general tidy around and then paint the lilac in the nursery once more. (Pictures up of whats been done so far on facebook ... fyi.)0 -

aida - i would definately recommend bio oil - have used it since week 14 and am now nearly 35 with no stretch marks - i usually buy it was amazon or ebay as much cheaper than the shops
re breach babies - i think my midwife said dont worry till you are 36 weeks and babies can still turn after this. i am 35 weeks monday and feeling baby change positions all the time, babies head normally in different positions throughout the day. when they get this big you can defiantely feel the hardness of the head.
please ladies who are worried about birth, try to chill about it because if you go into labour with negative ideas and being tense your labour is going to be harder. maybe try some hypnobirthing cds for relaxation. after reading this book i found myself feeling a lot more relaxed and not as scared about labour.

also write a birth plan it makes you feel in more control. i know you may need to be flexible with your birth wishes as things dont always go to plan.
just wondering what people are going to do re visitors after birth? if everything goes fine with my birth we are going to keep it to ourselves until i am out of hospital (which will hopefully be the next day) maybe then just family for the first few days and then friends afterwards.
yay to choclover, Mrs Manda and thirfygirl for their babies arriving :T

My cousin's baby as been breach most of the way. She's had him/her turned twice and twice baby's turned back. Then at somewhere between 39 and 40 weeks baby turned to be head down and also the head has engaged so don't give up hope ladies. Although I completely understand wanting to be prepared for all eventualities.

Laura
I've been discussing this with the DH as well. I have a feeling some of my family will want to visit in the hospital (hoping to be in at least a one night as I will be started on heprin (sp) due to family history of blood clots) but not sure if I would rather that it was just us and maybe my parents. We were thinking we would like a couple of days to get used to being parents before family and friends descend on us, but somehow I'm not sure whether this would be feasible (unless baby is born on a weekday)
Just wonderinf if anyone is going to use their carry cot from the pram as a moses basket or is this not suitable? We have bought one which can be used for overnight sleeps etc (it has holes in the mattress and I think in part of the base) so we were considering using this as baby girls moses basket and just buying a stand. However, we are now questioning if this is ok to do or whether we should buy a moses basket - we have limited space so this was our main reason for not buying one.
Well I've been looking at the hospital bag lists and now in a slight panic as the only thing I think I have is dry shampoo !!! Better get buying. Have my first antenatal class this coming week so hopefully I will feel more 'prepared' for labour so that I can write some kind of birthing plan which I know will most likely go out the window when the time comes.
Hope everyone is having a good day0 -

afternoon all. how are you?
gosh this thread moves so fast. it took me a while to catch up. :rotfl:it is so interesting as well. I was trying to remember what to write when i post, but have forgotten now.am getting forgetful.
a huge congrats to the ladies with their new additions! That must be sooo amazing to finally see them and hold them. I really can't wait to get to that stage! All I kept doing yesterday and today is looking at the scan pictures and smiling like a wally. The baby's hand is in the air, and DH was saying he/she has his/her guard on (like we do in kung fu).
Hey Aida! How are you? tell me about it, I thought my EED was the same as yours, as that is what the GP/MW had said but after the scan it changed. I remember MIL saying it would be nice to give birth on Xmas day.I will be happy whenever as long as all goes smoothly.
Read about the cream post. I had started cocoa butter (Palmers) and i loved it. The smell started annoying me though and i switched to baby oil. I know its important to moisturise but sometimes i just dont want to do it. get lazy. and when i do i dont even do the full body. i just manage my boobs, arms and tummy and then a bit of my lower back and half my legs. lol.i need to keep doing this as mt skin is drier now. grrr.
As men was discussued earlier, my DH Is the same. Up until the scan he didnt even discuss anything about the baby as we were worried and he said i got way too attached the first time we got pregnant and the MC just shattered me. Then after the scan, i still didnt get many emotions. he just discussed seeing the arms etc and that was it. all he keeps going on about is the nuchal test and i w ant to hit him. my MAIN worry was seeing that the baby was alive and growing at the scan and he kept asking about the other test. men are weird creatures. they prefer being practical and stuff. it would be nice for them to just be a bit more sensitive for us women. then after begging for a hug yesterday and after an argument, i managed to get a hug later on. sigh...
ok have gone on now. am supposed to be revising for my theory exam, and i havent started a thing!!! its on monday!! eek!! got driving lesson tomorrow. i def will be told off. and i am hungry now. haha..
Fluff, am still taking my folic acid and vit d. i was told by mw to take 10micrograms so found that in Tescos. thought would carry this till they finish otherwise i keep buying supplements all the time.
also yesterday when i gave blood for the nuchal test the lady reminded me to book my 16 weeks appointment with the MW as aparently a lot of women in the Croydon area are not reminded for that and they have been missing it. the stuff on the notes is too much. there is so much we can remember right? i tried booking today and left a message. also i spoke to my brother earlier (i promise to stop after this lol) and he said at the 20 weeks scan they were offered some other chromosomal test where they were told that fliud from the placenta is tested, he said to stay away from that as there is a risk of mc mentioned. has anyone done that? i got scared hearing about it!
ok off to think about what i can eat. hehe xxxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
Little Kung fu bubba due on the 24th of December 2012. :j

That test would only be if they picked something up that didn't look right at the anomoly (20 week) scan. Even if they did you don't have to have the test done. Try not to worry about that Rups as it's something that in all probablity won't happen
