    Oooooh 3 new babies!! :j
    Congratulations choclover, MrsManda and thriftygal!!

Look forward to hearing the birth stories and seeing pics!

Thanks for the ideas re wedding suits, they're all lovely!
Ikkle, those suits are gorgeous it was exactly what I was looking for! Just worried an 8 week old will look silly in trousers, shirt and a waistcoat? I think he'll probably look really cute!

Not up to much this weekend. Hoping baby comes! Woke up with a sore throat so hoping it was just from snoring my head off and not anything else!
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

Have a bit of time now so here it goes.

Went into hospital for 9am on Tuesday for an induction, unfortunately they didn't have a bed for me so we had to wait until 11:30 before I was admitted. Got hooked up to the monitor for about and hour and then had an examination. She said the baby's head was low and I was 2 cm dilated so she gave me one of those tampon type things to get labour going. Had to sit on the bed for 30 mins for it to settle in and then was told to walk about. The BH quickly turned into contractions and was hooked up to the monitor again by 4pm. Got re-examined and was still 2 cm dilated. Was told I needed to be more uncomfortable before I could have any painkillers, then 30 mins later was given paracetamol and codeine as the back ache was getting a lot worse. Managed to eat dinner and then was starting feel a bulging sensation down below and the contractions started to get quite painful. About an hour later my waters broke and within five minutes felt like I needed to push. Annoyingly was told not to push until I was transferred to the delivery suite, thought I would have moved before I got to this stage.

Got into the delivery suite, was given the gas & air and started to push. It went really well and only needed to push a few times before she started to move. On one push her head nearly crowned but then she retracted and on the next contraction I pushed again but this time she stayed where she was and my god it was the longest few minutes of my life waiting for the next contraction as it was soooo painful her just sitting there. Anyway on the next contraction she crowned and the rest of her came out as well!

Had to have a few stitches but other than that everything is fine. Will try and post a photo later!

Oh just to add the midwife that delivered her said she looked like she was only 39 - 40 weeks as she had lots of that white stuff everywhere, so they must have got my dates wrong.

for the ladies who are breech I think moxa is worth a try. I've got a bicornuate (heart shaped) uterus and am more likely to have a breech baby. I was speaking to my acupuncurist about it and she says moxa is incredibly effective in turning a breech baby. you can get your partner to do it for you too so it's easy to do at home, there is lots of info online. sorry your husband is not being supportive rj, if it helps convince him at all the lead midwife at my comunity team practices acupuncture and has written a paper on using moxa to turn breech babies so it is something the medical profession believe in (or some of them at least!). good luck!

Colli, I think that's what BB had to turn her baby and it worked.
