Wow it's like the other day birth announcement all coming at once!! Massive congrats choclover, mrsmanda and thrifty glad to hear babies have all arrived safely. Looking for to more details/photos in due course :j
RHJ I can't remember who on here had that moxibustion (?sp) thing or if it worked. My OH is kinda vacant when talking about things, we're obv further behind but a bit of input would be nice! I think it's because he's not much clue about these things, but my mum bought him a book!!
Welcome Aida and congrats. I started using that cocoa butter stuff then bio oil. But I wasn't religious enough with applying. To be fair I've had stretch mark before pregnancy do knew I'd get them. I've got a couple as high as my belly button. Maybe if I'd used the stuff twice a day as it says they'd be better. Good luck with the oil though :-)
SM hope you've got a more relaxing weekend planned, sounds like a busy week.
Sorry if I missed anyone there. Eyes are half shut. Time for bed me thinks, so night everyone. Hope you sleep well xxxxx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

I'm using hemp body butter from The Body Shop, sporadically though as it's DH's job to do it
and he usually forgets, so maybe once every 7-10 days.
No stretch marks yet (27 +4) but I think really a lot of it's genetics and you'll either get them or you won't no matter what moisturiser you use? I didn't get any with my 2 DD's, but my bump is a totally different shape this time with a boy - much rounder like I've shoved a basketball up my jumper - so all the stretching is happening out front, rather than all around like with the girls. I may not be so lucky this time! My belly button never popped out before either but there's potential for that happening this time I think
Congratulations to all the parents of new babies on here!0 -
Thanks for adding me on there emsbet. was just seeing how lovely and well organised the list is. :0)
i also booked my 20 week scan today and am meant to ring up the mw to book up for my 16 week meeting but i will do it tomorrow.
or monday.
its still sinking in. feels surreal esp after the way i have been worrying. silly me. :0) i am still taking folic acid and my vitamin d. shall i continue thie for a while yet?
You should certainly be taking your Vit D, Rups. The folic acid won't hurt either, although it's not critical. If you take a pregnancy multi-vitamin like Pregnacare (supermarkets do their own make too) this will give you everything you need. Bear in mind you also need to continue with the Vit D when breastfeeding."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Well me and other half have made up I think after a long night of texting and crying. I'm exhausted now. Part of the problem is he buries his head in sand until last
Minute and I'm worried he won't do the research to support my decisions. Another part of it is I am a big believer in alternative techniques such as acupuncture, crystal healing etc which he thinks is crap. He says he doesn't want any Mumbai jumbo touching his baby. Obviously I'm not gonna go to Someone unrecommended. . MEN!!!love you lots like jelly tots

Sorry if you've read this in the 12-24, but official 24 weeks today, so though i'll post it in here as well.
I'm so excited, we had ordered my little girl a new bed, she was in a toddler bed so we have got her a proper bed with storage underneath, we will need all the space we need as the baby will be sharing with her eventually. Well it came yesterday and its all up and we have moved her room around we just need to get the cot out of the attic and we are sorted
She hasn't seen it yet as we went out last night to see jimmy carr, so she was at my mums. I'll be picking her up soon and we aren't going to tell her and just wait till she sees it. She is going to be really excited about getting her "big girl" bed.Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0 -
Congratulations MrsManda and choclover on the births of Alexander and Emily - lovely names too.
littlemiss the whole of my family are going out for dinner at Carluccios tonight as my sister's birthday is 30th June and mine is 1st July, but she has a wedding to go to next weekend. Just got to work out what I can eat though (vegetarian and pregnant can make it tricky) as they've changed their menu since I visited last time (at around 3 months pregnant), and also what I'm going to wear as bump is quite big now. Think I may wear my fatface maxi dress with a cardigan that I can take off as it was really hot in there last time as we were sat next to the kitchen.
Plan for today then is to go into to town and try to find a birthday present for my sister, as well as a thank you card and 2 birthday presents and cards for the Canadian couple who sent us the money and babygrow as their birthdays are in July too and I need to allow the time it takes to deliver to Canada. I've no idea what to get any of them (Canadian couple in their 50s and my sister will be 27).
Well I'd best get into the shower, as a busy shopping day ahead of me.
Hugs to all who need or want them, labour vibes where appropriate, and looking forward to seeing more announcements and baby photos soon.

Thank you Ikkle. You don't tend to get fakes from amazon hun it's not like eBay they are quite strict and monitor people selling as a business and you can normally buy it direct from Amazon themselves x
I will order some Bio Oil then
Congratulation thrifty , mrsmanda and choc love.
I haven't thought about the giving birth bit ...Can I choose to have a c-section (if I'm too scared to give birth) or they will force me to give birth naturally?:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -
Congrats thrifty , mrsmanda and choclover
Aida I use bio oil and the coconut butter from body shop. I apply bio oil in the morning and coconut butter in the evenings. No stretch marks so far (I'm 22+?) but can't guarantee it's the oil and the butter. I think the most important thing is for you to moisturise!
Has anyone got a suggestion of a dress for a wedding on a boat? I'll be 27wks then and bought the Tiffany Rose block dress in purple off ebay (http://www.tiffanyrose.com/maternity/clothing/CBDP.html, sorry I'm not sure how to add websites any other way) but, to be honest, I'm not keen as it doesn't feel very weddingly...:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0
