Morning sickness can strike at anytime. Just keep an eye on it. You should be able to keep fluids down though. If you can't you'll dehydrate. I couldn't keep water down, but found a fizzy drink easier to keep down.

Thanks have just asked my Oh to get some ribena and lemonade on his way in x

Hi ladies, havn't had much chance to read the last couple of pages yet but will do. Just a quick question really, havn't suffered any major morning sickness (the odd feeling of bleugh, bit never thrown up) but today since ive woken from a nap i had earlier ive thrown up 3 times, an i cant seem to keep water down, is this normal at 18/19 weeks?
    Sorry to butt in.

Quite possibly. I suffered terribly from week 6 to about week 14. Then it came back intermittently around 20 weeks, then back again a few times a week from 36 weeks. It seems like you're never free of it :D

Keep an eye on it though as you've been sick quite a few times in a short period of time (and with no real previous history). Could it be a bug? If you're still being sick tomorrow afternoon, i.e. no let up for 24 hours, give your midwife a ring.

I feel fine other than the urge to throw up roughy every hour/hour and a half so not thinking a bug but it could be.
Slight problem in that im still waiting to meet my midwife, hopefully soon! But i could always go round to my docs/call nhs direct i suppose. But its taken my main worry knowing morning sickness can start anytime x

hello all! have had such a hectic week, but finally getting a chance to look back, hope I will still be in the 40's, our nursery furniture was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday but A*gos messed it up so won't arrive until end of June now.

Little Moog, I almost got that card but bought this one in the end http://www.funkypigeon.com/Pages/PhotoUpload.aspx?ProductId=106200 and had happy fathers day put inside... hasn't come yet though so we'll see, ordered it last Sat I think?

he also didn't get me anything for mums day, but that would have freaked me out a bit and trying to include him more ever since I came home and saw him reading a babycentre article about why dads are important - never loved him so much at that point!

he's going to be hard at work for the next month which means I invited my mum to the cardiff baby and toddler show cus I saw tickets had gone down to £3 (if anyone is close by and wants to buy tickets for sat 23rd june, use this link and I could get my £3 back!http://www.livingsocial.com/deals/350672?rpi=65338980&ref=personalized-link-box-65338980&rui=112154073 but i think £3 is worth it anyway) and her reaction was so positive that I feel like I've been letting everyone down now, I know its a first grandchild but what more can I do? Its special to hubby and I and we are trying to include everyone... sigh, off to read back xx

    Quick question:

Just got a membership thing from Boots with various points coupons etc, but I'm not sure if they're worth using.

e.g. "Collect 8 points per £1" - do I not get 10 points per £1 anyway, through being in the Baby club? Or is that just on baby stuff?

Same goes for 200 points when you spend £20, etc.

I'm sure I'm just being dumb but I know some of you are very savvy when it comes to points and money-off coupons! :p

I know I will want to buy things and have no money! We have bought most things and have no money but then my mum, who also is quite skint, said to me the other day, there is nothing left to buy! She didn't offer to buy anything!

I'm in work til 1 but I am hoping for some vouchers for a 4d scan as we still havent booked though I will be 31 weeks then and they say 27-32 weeks... maybe just some demonstrations of things too? With that living social deal, I, getting a free 'vintage' scarf and with tickets now £3 I think they must be getting desperate!

I've read back to where I thought I missed but no new babies and don't feel caught up, may try again...! I don't know how those of you preggo with one or more toddlers are managing... I taught an hour preschool music and dance today and was struggling a lot more after than with my usual classes!!

huge labour vibes to ladylegs and other boldies!

ww2b - are you enjoying daddy cuddles yet?

To all who are bouncing on their balls - I attended two NHS physio classes where I was told that bouncing is a BIG NO NO until you're ready for labour. It is, however, very good to rock on the ball backwards and forwards and to both sides.

I'm really happy today - tomorrow is my last day at work! :T
It feels a bit surreal just now - I feel like I'm going on holiday. I think my brain just can't process the fact I'll be off for 7-10 months. I'm so tired with the pregnancy and pregnancy pains now that I can't wait till tomorrow evening but I wonder when I'm going to start missing work.

I'm exactly 36 weeks today and over the last 2 days 4 people independently told me my bump looks really low and I look like I'm ready to have the baby any moment! Have my MW appointment tomorrow so will find out if the baby is engaged.
  • in established labour but not yet got an end in sight. might have daddy cuddles by Sunday... we are on IV oxytocin and waiting...
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...

Another big mystery of the pregnancy land. My physios are womens health ones (ones for pregnant ladies), and they say to bounce...not like a loon but a gentle bounce.

Bah, it's just like food. Everyone tells you different. Next they'll tell us that wine is the best thing to drink whilst pregnant. :rotfl: Well a girl can dream (although the thought of wine since being pregnant actually makes me want to be sick).
