apparently i did it right first time, but baby was natural, as soon as she was born she did it right. I asked many times to different midwifes and all of them told me it was the right way, which it was, it was not painful at all, the only problem i;ve found is the problem many of my friends have said. Your nipples are not used to the suction/ friction and it will hurt, it is just normal, my baby wanted milk all the time and my poor nipples had no rest.

Although I'm feeling quite full and sick now had massive fruit salad after tea and then finished a packet of Mikados......but they were YUMMY!!!!!!!

Our UPPAbaby is here! We tried all combinations, including the snug seat, both raincovers and both insect nets! DH wants to take pics and email them to his mum so we'll do that tomorrow. I also bought a nappy bag - Baba Bing. A bit pricey but I fell in love with it so what could I do?

Then we finally put the nursery together (well, almost). The idea was that the cot would go into our bedroom for 6 months but after DH moved all furniture it turned out it would be a tight squeeze. So decided we'll sleep in the nursery instead and move out once the baby is old enough to be on his own. It won't be great for us but I guess we have to make sacrifices for our LO.

I just realized all I have is one pack of newborn Huggies that I got free and no other nappies lol. What size did everyone buy? I'm not expecting a small baby so I was thinking 50 size one then a big box of size two??

I'd say don't go nuts - might be you get a skinny minny baby or a chunky monkey that really doesn't get on with one brand or another. I just got enough for the first few days - then she needed the smaller micro size anyway! (I'm quite a fan of Tesco own label, or Pampers - but the Tesco ones have different animals on the waist bands which amuses me seeing what animal it is next)

We got 3 x 54 Pampers size 1 and 1 pack size 2 (but don't remember how many nappies are in the size 2 pack). Plus I have the free Pampers from the Bounty pack 2 but not sure which size it is.

Now that you mentioned baby sizes my scan this week showed the baby is above average and already 6lb at 34+6 so I do hope we haven't bought too many size 1s.

DD was 7lb 6 and a size 1 was way too big, although she wasn't in them for long.

  • RJH sorrrrweeee! If you lived close I'd drop some off. We had lots of ripe fruit to use.
Cheetara good luck for your induction to tomorrow, looking forward to hearing your baby news :D
Nappies we have 1096 nappies between 1-4+ I think about 300 size 1. A lot were free or cheap. Size 1 and 3 overlap weight wise so I havent got too many size twos. Mostly pampers but seemed to get free huggies too. Also have 26 packs of baby wipes ;) 5 sample sizes of sudecream and about 12 bottles of bubble bath/washing stuff.....I've jotted it all down in my book. I've been banned from acquiring anymore nappies though:( they just seemed to multiply!

Babies r us I have coupons I think £20 off £200 spent on a buggy and money off for a car seat and travel cot. Also some amount off an£100 spend. Don't have my name or anything on. Are they of any use to anyone? I'll gladly post them to anyone who might make use of them.

I'm off to bed I think.
Hope everyone sleeps well. night nightxxx
