Aww - sorry to bring up sad memories twinklie. x

Don't be sorry - it's nice thinking about her. I'm just really weepy. My hubby called me stupid for considering going to work instead of the doctors on Monday and I've been bawling my eyes out at anything and everything ever since. lol

Talking of crying I burst into tears in Ikea today. I know that a saturday afternoon in Ikea is enough to reduce most people to tears but one minute I was munching on a meatball, the next I was bawling! For no reason at all! No one had said anything, I hadn't thought about anything emotional, I just suddenly found myself sobbing. The OH looked horrified.

Honestly, pregnancy's just about leaking all the time - fanny, boobs, eyes... :D

  • Oh Fluff I nearly leaked too then!
Hugs to all the teary ladies this afternoon.
Bellola isn't the bear stuff lovely? I think the nursery will be all beared out here :)

I just came on to ask if anyone had heard from flutterby?. For some reason I was just thinking about her. I don't remember hearing from here after she posted saying her little girl was in hospital. Maybe I'll noisy over on the newborn thread.

Anyway apart from the mad hormones, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Ventured out with mother to Dunelm. Saw a vase I liked last week so got that, and only that so was good for me :) I bought some fake flowers last October so now have somewhere for them to live. Unfortunately I think they look quite sparse need another stem. Hmm got them at mums 300 miles away....sigh!

I'm 27 weeks today - I think that puts me in the 3rd trimester? Blimey, the time is going quickly.

Poor baby! I just moved her up to the next size teats that we bought as part of a pack months and months ago... one of them's had a manufacturing issue and has no holes at all in it! Moral of the story - after checking your sterliser fits IN your microwave... also check your teats have holes in 'em!

Oh and when making bottles late at night - also check you've screwed the top on properly - cause of one milk bath at 3am, or that daddy's actually put the teat IN when putting the bottle together - cause of another milk bath at 3am!

hi girls, yes breastfeeding does not hurt but what does hurt it is your nipples after a while, i remember i did not apply the cream the MW gave me and the second day my nipples hurt like crazy, there was blood, it was awful and almost gave up. Our nipples are not used to this, so make sure you use your cream before hand.

The advice I was given from the one member of staff who actually cared enough to try to get a preemie to latch on (as opposed to the others who were of the "lob nipple toward baby and shrug when it failed to stick" level of skill) was that it may well "hurt" in a "take deep breath down to your toes powerful sensation" kind of way for the initial latch - but if it remained painful, things were wrong, take them off and relatch before you knacker your nipples.

OMG...I'm 27 weeks on Monday. Nobody told me that was the start of the 3rd trimester. NOW I DO have bloomin' heart palpitations. :rotfl:
