Any news yet MrsManda and BB? Thinking of you both

Nope!
Really thought things were kicking off, most disappointing. Still getting the BH but nowhere near as frequently.
I guess that's why the hospital don't want ladies to come in until they're contracting every 4 mins!

Hello all - had a major scare yesterday. Tripped on a step - and fell straight onto the bump, it was a really nasty fall. Gave me and OH shock of our lives - ended up going into hospital to have it checked out. Luckily all was ok, but the 40 minutes before I got strapped to a monitor were terrifying. So relieved to hear the heartbeat and feel some movements. Have got a sore knee and shoulder from where tried to break fall, but don't really care about that! Thank goodness for amniotic fluid, that's all I can say. Am putting my feet up today, OH and DD gone into town to see new Serpentine Pavilion.
What was interesting was that the monitor measured 'toco' (tightenings and contractions) - have been having period pains and BH for weeks, and these showed up on the monitor - was getting ones up to 40-50%! Didn't think they'd register at all so was quite surprised.
Hope everyone else is doing well, I hope to catch up with you all later.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Eek museum that sounds nasty. Glad u and bump ok tho. Not long to go for you now

My daughter has been an angel this morning. She wanted to sit and watch a DVD and no way was I complaining. So we snuggled on sofa together while the little man kicked her in the head lol.
Gonna go get some clothing rails now. Oh moves in in a couple of weeks and we have no wardrobe space or space to put another wardrobe so this is our temporary option.
Hopefully daughter will sleep on way back then we on the home straight to bed

And choclover, how are you doing?
Nope. Since the S&S on Friday I've been getting slightly bloody discharge but today I've been mostly getting stuff which looks like gloopy sticky vaseline. I'm presuming it's the mucous plug?
Think he may have dropped and I'm getting lots of wiggles but no contractions.
It's getting close to the time my OH has to leave so hoping he stays put now (though would also appreciate a 3 hour labour so he can turn up before OH had to leave
) 0 -
Well if u figure out how to have a three hour labour you must let us all know lol. Tho in all fairness I'm hoping for a long labour because I have to fly my mum over when I start so she can look after my daughter. We don't have anyone else so if she doesn't get here in time my oh will miss the birthlove you lots like jelly tots

There's been a lot going on for me, hence my lack of posts. My mother had been quite ill & died 4 days before babs was born. I was in hospital for a couple of days before the birth & sent home only to return that night for a short labour - all started when waters broke at 1.55am & born at 3.15am.
Had a boy 8llb 6 no name yet. I'm breastfeeding but in a bit of a mess.0 -
yikes rjn hope the flight isnt too long for your mum to get to you? would be sad if you didnt have OH with you.
Mrs Manda - sounds like things are progressing for you
museumworker - sounds like a nasty fall, glad to hear things are ok. if your braxton hics are measuring 40-50% does that indicate when labour may begin?
33 weeks tomorrow and feeling it - bump feels big and still has 7 weeks to grow eekk. no braxton hics yet which is disappointing but have leaky boobs lol
when on vitual tour of my mat unit today on line, looks good , they have one birthing pool room which i will go for if i am allowed and no one else is using, they also have 4 active birthing rooms which is my second option. i started writing a rough birth plan yesterday.
i have a really busy week ahead, with 2 lots of antenatal classes, midwife appt, working 4 and a half days as a secretary then seeing 2 clients for nutrition in the evening - i will be pleased when this week is over.
i am worried about lasting another 5 weeks at work as feel very busy at the moment and would like to be resting more.

It's not too long a flight it's just depends on how regular they are. And obviously they don't fly in middle
Of night. Very scary!!! But alas everything about the past seven months has been unplanned so why change now.
So sorry bout your mum. I hope u can just try yor best to do what Ivan for the sake of your little one. Giant gigs.love you lots like jelly tots

Thank you all for the warm welcome and adding me to the list:) it feels a bit weird being 62 when we're completely unprepared for baby. The only things we have are a moses basket with bedding some some free nappies. I really want the reusable nappies but DH isn't keen. I think he is concerned about the 'mess' so we may just need to go for disposables full stop

kabie - I've only just joined this thread but wanted to say sorry for your loss anyway.:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0
