Mishkanorman - not tried expressing before, what you say makes sense.
Triangle - good luck at hospital0 -
Kabie so sorry asbout your mum but congrats on baby boy.
Had a reasonable sleep, only woke twice for loo compared to 5 times the night before. But back to work today, still countdown can begin as 9 weeks left.
I have a terrible pain almost constantly in my bum cheek which MW says is sciatica and theres only 1 exercise she could recommend which doesn't really help. It hurts to walk at times, not fun. Might get the gym ball out tonight and give that a try.0 -
kabie my thoughts are with you. The advice on expressing sounded good, you can just hand express a little out if needs be first. Hope you get to speak to an adviser today.
Thanks everyone for the good wishes. jediquigley I think the 40-50% means nothing in terms of when baby comes unfortunately - tbh I've had much stronger feeling ones at home and from what I've read on tinternet some women get a lot higher readings weeks before delivery . Hope you get through your busy week - when do you start mat leave?
BB1984 Am struggling to see what is bad about your use of mat leave too :rotfl:. Falling on a baby who is tightly packed in there does make it seem very frightening.
Triangle hope your growth scan goes ok today, sounds like a precaution. Let us know how it goes.
Noticed yesterday from notes given on Sat that baby is RoP - facing forwards, and needs to turn otherwise chance of longer and more difficult labour - great . So now no putting feet up on footstool and did 1/2 hr of knees to chest position yesterday. Planning for an hour today. Already sleep on side so not sure what else to do. Any advice?
Wrote birth plan with OH using the NHS website last night, I thought it was really good. You tick boxes and add comments and it is all in a printable version afterwards. Need to register so it can be saved, but is free: http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/birth-plan.aspxMortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.200 -
Good luck today triangle
Thanks for the birth plan link museum worker. I think I read somewhere doing things that involve being on your hands and knees help baby turn, like scrubbing floors or less energy consuming leaning over a birthing ball.

triangle, hope everything goes ok at your scan today. I'm sure everything will be fine, but at least your LO is big enough now that even if you did need to be induced there wouldn't be a problem. Don't you dare leapfrog me though!!

RE sciatica, I used to have that (pre-pregnancy). I had a course of physio, which really helped. Might be worth pursuing that - MW's aren't specialists when it comes to this kind of thing, but if she can refer you to the hospital physio that might help.
Still no excitement from me, just the same twinges and a bit of period pain.
BB x

Morning all!
Wow, it takes me forever to read back over all the posts on a Monday morning!
museumworker - glad to hear that you and baby are ok after your fall. that must have been so scary for you though.
kabie - congrats on the birth of your little boy and I;m also so sorry to hear about your mum. sending you lots of hugs x
Triangle - good luck for the growth scan, as others have said i am sure it is all just routine
BB1984 - making choc brownies is a very productive way of spending your maternity leave! I hope my own leave is filled with similar activities!
Been feeling pretty rubbish over the last few weeks; keep getting a stuffed up nose which OH reckons is a pregnancy symptom - has anyone else suffered from this? Have also been feeling slightly nauseous again, wondered if this is to do with baby having a growth spurt as I'm coming up to 27 weeks and I'm sure we read somewhere that they have a growth spurt between 24 - 28 weeks? Was also very light headed yesterday, but seeing midwife tomorrow so will go through all of this with her and see what she says. LO still has days where he doesn't seem to move around very much, but then when he does kick it's a good un! OH likes to put his ear to my belly and tells me when he can hear noises - he has got into the habit now of tellign me when baby is asleep or awake!
Still not made any decisions on heating for the house (aaargggghhh!) - OH and I still can't agree but have set this Sat as the day that we need to finalise details and place and order so one way or another it will be sorted. Also off to look at a flooring place on Saturday so hopefully, things are starting to come together now.
Looked at nursery furniture last night - saw a few that i liked but OH only likes one set so i am going to let him have his own way on this one (means I should be able to get my own way on other stuff, heh-heh-heh!) We're going for the Winnie the POoh Antique Pine Set and Starry Nights bedding from Babies-r-us. Just really gutted that we didn;t get our !!!! into gear and choose it last weekend when we could have got 20% off the whole thing! How rubbish are we! :rotfl:Will have to scour the net and see if there are any money off deals anywhere, although Mum and Dad have said that they would like ot buy the cot bed for us so that will help out. Also had a loveley catch up with a couple of mates at the weekend - one had bought us a steriliser, travel bottle and warmer and a newborn outfit and the other is preparing us a hamper of essential goodies! I nearly cried when I found out - makes me realise that i have got some great mates! Oh and another friend gave birth to a little girl last Friday so I cried at that too!
Daft tabby cat has got very affectionate over the last couple of weeks too; not sure if he senses something now, but he used to sleep downstairs or at the end of the bed but for the last few nights he has come and sat next to me. OH said the other morning that I was lying on my side and tabby was perched on top of me!
Hope everyone has a lovely day - sending out labour vibes to all that need/want them!0
