Afternoon ladies,

Hope you all well? Am posting from my hospital bed atm and feeling very sore lol just wanted to let you all know that Max Hedley John was born this morning at 9.52am. He weighs a tiny 3lb 12oz as there were some undetected issues with the placenta and he was not putting on weight, he is in neo natel at the moment and is expected to stay there for a day or two... He's got a good set of lungs on him, an excellent grip and huge feet! I will post a piccie as soon as I can work out how to off my phone

Awww congrats Jovi. Cute.

Ikkle I'm not technically consultant led no. But I'm at the hospital on the 15th to see the consultant to find out if I'm going to become consultant led. I've been to the hospital more often than not so far though. They are gonna just measure me and see if I'm ok I think, then if everything measures ok they'll leave me alone. If not, I'm under the consultant. They haven't really discussed anything passed this appointment with me. I'm pretty sure the lad is growing well though. I feel very relaxed about the whole thing.

I'm just fretting about getting registered with the docs when I move down to Wales at 33 weeks pregnant! lol. Fingers crossed it will all be a smooth transition.

Oh and if people could slow down on ye old baby front I'd appreciate it. I'm in shock at being 48!

Hmmm.... most of the list seem to be expecting boys (the ones who know anyway) does that mean there is something in the water???

Rjh - hope your exam went well today. Make sure you get lots of rest *hugs*

2 days until I'm a boldie - doesn't feel that long ago I was near the bottom of the list though it does feel like I've been pregnant forever :eek:

Unfortunately I think baby's going to be late He still doesn't feel engaged and I haven't had any signs of labour prep unless vomiting a couple of time a day counts. I feel sick, tired, getting hot flushes and have had an almost permanent headache since Sunday and last night had a nose bleed. My OH has made me promise to call the midwife for a chat if my nose bleeds again in case my BP is getting silly.

Got a Obstetrician appointment on Friday (due date) and a sweep booked in with the midwife for Tuesday so hopefully he'll get a move on. Don't particularly want to have to go down the induction or c-section route as they're likely to want to keep me in hospital a few days after a routine vaginal birth, anything more complicated could have me in there for over a week

We got the pram out of its boxes yesterday because my OH wanted to sort out where we were going to keep it. Had already thought about the hallway but wanted to make sure it fitted. He got excited about having it out, makes everything feel a bit closer and more real and gave him something other than his exams to think about I'd forgotten how big it was but it is still as lovely as I remembered.

What a tiny little one, I'm sure he'll grow like a good 'un in no time though Glad you're ok, and hope Max (great name btw) is out of neo natal asap.

And congrats also for putting me into single figures on the list....blimmin 'eck! :eek:

Wow Jovi congratulations!!! What a small bubba though! Glad to hear he's a good set of lungs despite so small. Hopefully he's out of neonatal soon and you make a quick recovery. Looking forward to a picture
