Here's the link for you AMC - you should be able to post links, but I'm not sure how many posts you have to have had to do so.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Thanks Sexymouse - I posted the link but it came up with lots of exclamation marks in the url. Not sure why!
I also have a dilemma; I was thinking of getting the Philips AVENT SCF663/47 Advanced Feeding Bottles (Slow Flow, 260 ml, 4-Pack) - the teats are suitable for baby of 1 month but I figured I should get the newborn teats as well in case I don't get on with breastfeeding. Has anyone tried these too and if so how did you get on?
I read on Amazon that the Advanced ones are better than the Classic as the Classic can leak. Any advice?
Thanks!0 -
Morning all!
Well what a miserable morningwas supposed to be going to a boat party on the Thames to watch Lizzie on her parade, but looking unlikely now. So not sure what to do instead. Might just have a lazy day, think I overdid the walking etc yday.
Turtlemoose hope you're doing well and if not already are near to cuddles. looking forward to hearing some news
Bellola hope you have a great time in France.
AMC the medela pumps have been recommended a lot. I got the mini one I forgot its proper name though now. Also a few peeps have said the electric sterilisers have been more convient than microwave ones. I don't know really as I've not had chance to try them yet.
RJH glad you're feeling better.hope you get your revision done. Perfect weather for doing it though.
BB hope You're ok and the twinges aren't too painful.
Not heard this Ed Sheeran song, part of me wants to google it but I think I'll wait until I'm not as tearful.
Received an email yday from FIL with a pic of me and oh nearly six years old (I think) the pic not us. All it said was "remember the slim days" well we've both put on a bit of weight, contentment I think not massively. Anyway I fought my hormones to avoid an extremely nasty and personal email back by calling him a t0sser on faceebook. I didn't mention who it was though. Anyway he (FIL) was upset and called oh. Not me to apologise. My mum was next to me when I got the email and she thought exactly the same he was calling me fat. Needless to tell you ladies that that's not what you wanna hear when you wake up. His version was he found the photo and thought it would make up smile. Maybe if he didn't put such a smart comment it may have. Apparently just meant to say OH is a bloater and not aimed at me. Anyway cue massive arguments here last night. IH badgered me the whole night to take down the comment, however has he badgered his dad to apologise or see now it looked.....has he heck! Anyway today is a new day, OH doesn't seem to be too grumpy with me. Or maybe he doesn't want me crying again lol.
Time for breaking I think here.....maybe eggs on toast yummy

AMC, the breast pumps I've seen most highly rated are the medela ones, particularly the Swing. It's pricey though! I've got the medela mini electric, which is a bit cheaper, mine was second hand so even cheaper again!
Not sure about sterilisers, I haven't got one yet. Have been given a load of dr browns bottles, so need one suitable for those- I think the tommy tippee microwave one is compatible but not sure. To be honest, I reckon they're all much of a muchness, it's just whether your stuff fits in it ok.
Emsbet, have fun painting!

I got the whole avent shebang. But paid a lot less for it. Got feast pump for 4.99 in SuperDrive. Sterilizer was half price. £10 and got newborn essentials set too also £12. So got a tone of bottles included. I used Tommie tipper last time and didn't love it so thought I would try something different.i have seen the sterilizer for around £10-12 in tons of places so don't pay more than that. Check tesco think that was last place I saw it.love you lots like jelly tots0

I'm after an electric breast pump too but don't want to shell out loads for it. I like the thought of 2nd hand except it's been on someone else's b00b! Can you replace parts? And if so what bits?0

Probably the expensive bits, thus taking the price of your second-hand pump up to the cost of a new one."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Here's eBay's advice on what parts to replace - basically anything that comes into contact with milk. With the medela especially it didn't work out much cheaper as their re-sale value is quite high. I ended up getting a medela swing pump in babies r us 20% off as I have heard fab things about it and didn't want to get a cheaper one and have to buy it anyway later on. The medela mini is supposed to be quite good to and that's cheaper.
LMM, just seen your fb status, lol. I would be  too!

Right today I am going to attack the nursery some more. I have clothes all the over the floor (mine not babies!) to sort out what stummer stuff I can fit into and what I can chuck back in the suit case for storage. Am I the only one who swaps my clothes over spring and autumn?! lol. Once thats done I can move that out and in the office wardrobe for storage and actually get in and sort things out for little lady. We now have our scheme sorted. Lilac and lemon winnie the pooh. Mega excited am I!!0
