Does anyone know at what point it's "normal" to have hip pain?

I have Tendonitis in my hips anyway that I've had for years (the physio said that it is so "ingrained" that nothing can be done about it) but I'm only 13+2 and noticing that I'm getting excruciating pains in my hips (even more so than before!). :(

Lady I have had it from pretty much the start and at 18 weeks was in physio for it because I was finding it hard to walk.

I had hip pain from about that point - it ended up in full blown "repeatedly booted up the ladybits" SPD pain.

I got the daft idea of turning my pram into pushchair mode today (pram's a bit too big to get on buses without getting filthy looks - despite not actually being much bigger than the pushchair mode and pushchair lies flat anyway)... 2 hours later I'm still trying to decipher the cryptic ikea-esque so no words just pictures instructions.

Have decided stuff this - I'm buying a connecta and babywearing more (I have a Moby which I love - it's just arkward putting the baby in it when we get out of the car in a carpark somewhere and things)

id say its quite normal now, LadyM, as your uterus is up out of the pelvis and starting to put the pressure on. look into maternity support pillows and things now as they are just blissful for taking pressure off sore hips.

rjn - glad to hear your scare was nothing serious and codeine helped

sexy mouse - i have had upper back pain since 20 weeks preg - i use fisiocrem http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=fisiocrem&clk_rvr_id=349386023592&adpos=1t1&MT_ID=11&crlp=11859206589_2113181&tt_encode=raw&keyword=fisiocrem&geo_id=32231
sorry about the massive link - i checked with my GP who felt this was fine to use during pregnancy - my OH gives me a massage most nights with this cream, i also go for a professional massage once a month. i find i cant wear normal bras, i wear a loose sports bra and a bando type bra. i have also found sitting down for long periods of time makes it worse so i try to stay active as much as poss.

Turtle - sorry to hear about your diappointing trip to hospital, hope things get going naturally for you over the next couple of days

fluffnutter - i love wires by athlete, a very beautiful song - i didnt know it was about him visiting his prem baby though :(

hope everyone is doing well, it has not stopped raining here today, very drab

You need to upload it to a site such as photobucket or flickr then paste the link into that box

What a miserable day today, but at least there are two more days off to enjoy, should get better tomorrow.

Big hugs to all those in pain.

Not much this end, I have updated the bee blog and used the suggestion: Ju-Bee-Lation - Long Live Our Queen. I have recieved lots of praise for the title, although I have admitted that it wasn't my idea. Thank you:p
