Hello all
Hope you're all doing ok. I've been at a wedding this weekend. I was bridesmaid, and it was lovely - very emotional but simple and not too glitzy. Yesterday we left the hotel and went straight to Ikea (in Leeds - their roof had fallen in due to the rain!) and then to Babies R Us because of their 20% off offer and we bought:
Silver Cross 3D travel system
Free ventura car seat
Tommy Tippee Nappy Disposal Bin
Bedding set (Olive and Henri!)
O&H Lightshade
O&H Cloth Wall hangings
O&H Room thermometer
O&H 18 wall stickers
O&H Curtains
O&H Changing mat
O&H Wallpaper border x 3
2 cellular blankets
Baby on Board sign for the car
3 x blue babygrows in 3-6 months
6 x 0+ tommy tippee bottles
Think thats it! It came to £459 I think which really didn't seem too bad. Actual cost was £699, so we had a pretty major saving with the multi buys and the 20% off.
Also on ebay last night I found a O&H wall clock (£12.99) and 3 x canvas wall hangings (£16.89), so thats the nursery just about done for under £500 (not including furniture). I can't tell if I'm spending too much and if this is just what things cost! Confused!!!!0 -
Omg. I don't even think all our baby equipment came to that price. But I got the big stuff second hand. To be honest if I had the money I would have bought it all new

Woo! 8th on the list!
Though pretty sure baby's going to be late
OH has changed his prediction to baby turning up on a Wednesday, either this Wednesday or next. Next is probably more likely as I'm booked for a sweep on Tuesday and at least by then my OH's exams will be over and he'll be back home.
Had a good day yesterday, went to the inlaws for lunch/dinner and watched the flotilla on tv. It was good to escape the house and I think it did my OH good not to be anywhere near his books so couldn't go and study.
RJH - hope you're feeling a bit more positive and with it today. I know the rules normally state you need to give quite a bit of notice of extenuating circumstances but it's probably worth sending an email to your tutor anyway and letting them know how you're feeling. It may not do much good but at least they're aware so if there is a possibility they can help then they can put it into place.
In the past I've ended up telling my tutors about extenuating circumstances an hour before an exam and a couple of times immediately afterwards. It's not in the guidance but sometimes it's necessary.
Are you getting extra time/breaks during your exams? There was a couple of pregnant ladies taking exams last time I took mine and they got to have rest breaks so they could walk around and also so that the clock could be stopped when they needed to go to the loo.
Feeling really nauseous and have a headache this morning
Though morning sickness was to be confined to the first few months but today throwing up seems to be what my body wants to do

Turtle, hope everything's going well for you.0 -
Ooh exciting news about turtlemoose - hope she is having baby cuddles as we speak.
Pain-free vibes if you're still in labour though.
Well I decided not to do the food shop yesterday, as my back started to hurt again, and when I did the meal plans for the week, I realised we had most of the ingredients in already, so only really need milk and a few other bits and pieces. Moon and I are going to go in a minute so that he can help me, and then we're off to my Nana's old house to help my Mum to sort out some of her things.
Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday today, and that your OH contacts you soon rj.
Hugs to all who need or want them,

Mrs manda. I broached te subject with my tutors a couple of
Months ago re toilet breaks and was told if I went to toilet clock would continue as it wouldn't be fair on others. The main problem for me is that the room where exams are is tiny (there are only 8 of us) is warm and toilet is a five minute waddle away so I reallycanr afford to do that. So no water drinking during exam for me. It's gonna be more sitting in a chair in one position for two hours. Chances of me being able to get off my chair afterwards are very slim lol.
Oh messages me on Facebook a couple of goes ago the idiot has now lost his phone he said if an emergency I can call him at work. I said no thank you I did fine without you last night so I'm sure I won't need you today.i also told him not to bother coming round tonight cos I lost valuable revision time worrying about him last night. MEN! He is well and truly in the dog house!!!love you lots like jelly tots
