  • Turtlemoose chocolate cake is always justified, with or without a walk! Wish I wasn't stuck at work, I really fancy a big slab of cake covered in cream!

    Happy due date turtlemoose! :)

Is anyone else purchasing a swaddle blanket? I've never seen a baby in 1 but the reasoning behind swaddling seems to make perfect sense. I have a £10 voucher for M&P and was considering buying 1.

I've got three of the Summer Infant SwaddleMe's which are really good, not really looked at any others or any swaddle blankets. x

I'm not sure - I was leaning towards a baby sleeping bag, and I don't think you can use both at the same time? The logic does sound good though (although I have heard warnings not to swaddle the baby too tightly as it can affect their pelvic bones!).

The summer infant ones are great! Dont worry about swaddling too tight uo to 3 months. They dont recommend swaddling after that.

Hello all, not been on for a bit as madam has decided waking up in the night is sooooo much fun so i've been a tad tired during the day, hopefully this is just a fad and she'll settle down again soon.
i'm now 18+1 (i think) and as this is my last baby i decided i couldnt wait til 20 weeks to find out the sex and i had a private scan at 16 weeks......baby number 4 is a boy so i'll have 2 of each :) was hoping for a girl as i have everything from my last pregnancy, i was absolutely positive it was another girl too and had to ask the scan man to check again and again and again but his little todger is there for all to see :)
hope all bumps are well and everyones enjoying the last of the sunshine :)
    Skint, but happy (ish):p

Have to admit it was the patterns that attracted me first to them but I've read some great reviews :) x

AMC, my pilates instructor has taught me an exercise to use later in pregnancy:

Lie on your back with knees bent, and then lift one leg up (knee fold position). Flex your foot and press the leg away, then point your toes (like you're picking a cherry with them) and pull your leg back towards you to the starting position. (bit like pedalling a bike)
Repeat 10 times for each leg, whenever you have time! This is supposed to get the pumps in your calves working to improve circulation and help with puffiness and cramps
Dunno if any help if your bathrooms are big enough ... but ... when im brushing my teeth I put 1 leg up on the bath and try to stretch it out til I feel the stretch gently in my calf - once I've brushed half my mouth I switch legs ... silly habit but seems to help! lol
