    Sexymouse

The disney books sounds like Grolier who I've seen on this site so many times over ! Bit of a con by all accounts so be careful,

the asda club huggies newborn freebie voucher will print twice apparantly so if you can register for hubby too thats potentially 4 boxes you can get ;) ours had top and tail cloths rather than a hat which look better value IMHO,

Im 24 weeks tomorrow :j thinking I might have to pop to doctors as ive had an annoying sore throat, itchy ear combo which is getting slowly worse :( and found out one of my friends kids has slapped cheek, im sure it not that but still :(

  • Evening everyone!
Wow haven't been on since yday afternoon. Trying to catch up with everyone.
Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations!
Glad all those who had appointments went well.
Emsbet hope you feel more rested after your busy morning.
MonkeyMoo big hugs hun. Since being off work I've also felt a bit isolated. Like you said itself can be quick how you can be forgotten by friends. We're all here for you, this forum has been great for keeping me sane :)
Hi to everyone else, sorry cant remember what I've read.

Went to sainsburys this evening, got the pampers that are on offer with the £2 coupon for 49p as someone I think Jovi? said.
Also I got two tommee tipee bottles the small ones for £2.12. They were reduced from over £8  not sure if they'll be any good for anyone or if any other stores have them.

My mum has arrived so have been busy today tidying/having the family dinner etc. will keep popping in though.
    Bye for now xx

I finally got round to shopping for new bras today. Work has been exhausting cos 3 (almost half of the workforce) are on holiday and I'm covering! So I walked really slowly round Bluewater and got measured and I'm a 36G! I've still got 10 and half weeks to go, I'm gonna end up with MASSIVE things on my chest!

Also treated myself to a box of chocs from Hotel Chocolat. And a magazine. OH on night shifts this week so need occupying!

Hope everyone doing okay in the heat... x

    Congrats Hannah!

Has anyone else had leg pain? I get recurring pain in my legs, it seems to alternate and often starts with cramp in the morning but turns into what feels like a pulled muscle in my calf so I end up hobbling around! At the moment it's my right leg that's sore. I was worried a few weeks ago as my leg was so sore but I Googled it and the info said as long as it's not swollen, red or hot to the touch then it's just normal pregnancy leg pain probably caused by the baby being on a nerve. One of my friends died 3 years ago from a pulmonary embolism (it started in her leg and she had pain - she was only 27) but I think it was more severe pain than I've had - I've got a work colleague who had a blood clot and she said you know when you have one as it's really painful. So I am relieved but I think it's just as well to be aware of these things.

Basically I just need to do that darn pregnancy yoga DVD as it would help prevent the leg pain I think, but as I'm still working full-time I feel pressed for time. Swimming was great on Sunday so I might try and do that a bit more. I finish work in just over 4 weeks though so am hoping baby holds on for a while to give me a break and a chance to relax. Anyone else finding it hard to fit in any kind of exercise?

Sleep is another thing. Before I was pregnant I woke up a few times in the night, now it's about every 2 hours or more for no apparent reason. I always get back to sleep (well apart from this morning) but I'm trying to think of it as good preparation for all those sleepless nights to come!

Second NHS antenatal class tomorrow - the last one was very good so looking forward to it. At least it shouldn't be so hot in the room this time so I won't feel like falling asleep :)

Evening all, and welcome to all the newbies, there seems to be a glut of you!

Another busy day for me, I really hope bubs hangs in there for a bit so that I have a chance to chill out before he or she arrives!

Had monitoring today then growth scan and consultant. baby's heartbeat didn't sound as regular as it normally does, but midwife reassured me that it's quite common for baby's to have an ectopic heartbeat before birth (slight irregularity), and it should correct itself shortly after birth. At my scan they had a close look at the heart and all looks fine, so I'm not too concerned, and neither is the consultant.

However, they still won't discharge me :( But don't seem to have a good reason why not, which is frustrating. Obviously I want what is best for baby, but I don't understand why they can't give me a good reason for why I'll prob not be able to have a water birth, and will have to be monitored by doctors?! Phoned my community midwife and asked to see her tomorrow, so hopefully she'll shed some light on everything. Feeling a bit "rahh"!

Anyway, that's quite enough moaning from me, sorry! :o

Hope you all sleep well with minimum pain, overheating and toilet visits!

    BB x

  • Good morning!
Hope you've all slept well :)
Well I was woken by daft cat at half three. She's a new habit of jumping on my at that time. She likes to massage bump, you know before cats sit down they do that treading up and down? Well that's what I mean. Typically though I'd semi woken up for a wee break and she decides she'll actually sleep there on my bladder so she got tossed off and wasn't happy. Still we've had another snuggle and massage since so she's curled up snoring at the end of the bed all happy again. I'm now quite awake tho

BB hope your midwife can explain more to you. It's frustrating when things aren't explained. I think the drs/midwives really err on the side of caution when it comes to monitoring etc and I don't blame them, but like you said its nice to know what they're thinking.
AMC hugs for the legs. Someone mentioned restless leg syndrome in the last few days, sorry I forget who. No wonder you're extra worried. There's a preg yoga DVD where it's 10 minutes a day. There's a whole series, I've tried their other non pregnant ones and it's easier to fit in 10 minutes, but it's designed where if you have time you can do the whole DVD and I think it's like an hour or so. Not sure what the pregnancy one is like though. Sounds like you know the signs of DVT so you can keep a close eye on it.
Hope your appt goes well MrsB
Hugs Chrissy work is tiring enough without pregnancy or the heat going with it. Hope you had a relaxing evening after your shopping trip.

Think I'll top up my juice and find some carpy tv to put on and try a d grab some more zzzzs. OH's alarm goes off in an hour so I'll put money on that I'll just doze off and.....beep beep beep beep
