Lol I think each primary care trust has their own criteria and a lot of it is just "going through the motions" because they have to meet their own (sometimes outdated or misjudged) guidelines.

ladymorticia from my experience, and as mrsmanda said above, at my appts they have only done urine sample, blood pressure, baby's heartbeat and fundal height - exactly what my midwife does....except my midwife manages to see me within ten mins of my alloted appointment time, whereas the hospital seems to be more like, wait an hour and ten mins, and then you might be seen sometime soon...and they wonder why my blood pressure is high lol

But with your case obviously there is a specific reason - I would just be comforted that they are keeping a close eye on you and bump, and you get a few bonus listens of the heartbeat that others dont get

I'm just back from a funeral, we've been out since 11:30ish so it's been a long day.

I hope everyone is well. My ligaments seem to be feeling a lot better now too which is good, hopefully I can sleep better tonight.

Thanks kitten, it was a friend of DH's, he died very suddenly last week. It was very sad but there was such a big turn out for him it was lovely to see so many people cared.

May I join please? I'm 13 weeks with my second baby, due 6th December. I already have Henry who is 30 months so feel like an old timer! I work full time so the first trimester has been exhausting, but I feel like I am starting to bloom now .

I am consultant led at the moment, because Henry was born by EMCS after a failed induction. I'm hoping to be passed back though as I think I would like a home VBAC :eek:. I'd definitely like a water birth this time too.

a quick one for me as off to watch the apprentice in a moment. really feels like the time is passing quickly now working full time as a secretary then seeing a nutrition client once a week is tiring. 6 weeks left at work from monday wayhay! its going to be so weird not working.

got some sleep bras today from mothercare as nipples leaking, not a lot but enough to leave stains on my pjs grrr

trip to ikea at the weekend, hoping i will enjoy it and not stress. going milton keynes sat morning, might see some of you there hehe

bump growing out of all porportions now, belly button is nearly an outty

had 31 week midwife appt yesterday, everything is fine

Hi All,

Welcome got-it-spend-it.

A while back when we were discussing reusable nappies I mentioned that my sil was making me washable wipes. someone asked for a picture.

I now have the prototypes. They are being refined each time. She has made some with just muslin and others with a soft cloth and muslin so that I have different ones for face and bottom

She has hand stitched some and machine stitched others and you can see the difference.





The pictures seem to have come out huge, sorry.
