There are so many boldies on that list! Labour vibes to you all and anyone else who wants them xx
Gilly, thanks for that info about the tablets. If the actual teabags are too digusting (which I fear they might be as I hate any sort of fruit tea!) then I will definately give the tablets a go
Laura, glad you had a lovely holiday and loving your nursery Ickle. Must post some pictures up of mine, keeping meaning too. Hope you are feeling a little better today Emsbet as you were feeling a bit down after family had left - anything nice planned for rest of week?
A day of rest for me as my swollen feet are reaching epic proportionsGoing to watch a couple of things I've recorded over last couple of weeks and then a DVD I treated myself to last week, as well as a bit of reading. Tea and biscuits most definately will feature throughout the day

Happy Due Date Mrs_H, labour vibes to everyone who wants them.
Twinklie, I don't have a nursery to decorate and we're not moving house. Baby's going to spend the first few months in our room and hopefully my OH will pass his exams in which case we can turn the study into a nursery before baby is too big for his moses basket.
We've not bought a chest of drawers, wardrobe, changing table etc... as I don't think we need them or have the space.
Bedding/clothes/changing things are going into boxes. Got a wheeled box for under our bed containing stuff for changing, breast feeding and moses basket bedding so it's easily accessible and bigger boxes in a cupboard for everything let over. Will move the boxes to under the cot when we set it up.
I do sometimes feel like I'd be more excited and more prepared if I'd been able to decorate a nursery - my friend's nursery was set up weeks before her due date and looked gorgeous. But the way we're doing it is the logical thing for us.
Logic and common sense seems to be ruling at the moment which does make me feel a little abnormal
EVERYONE thinks we're mad because we've made the decision that my OH isn't to be told I've gone into labour or even that he has a child if it happens overnight while he's away (unless I'm in labour before he goes to bed).
He'll wake up to a text message/photo message instead.
Midwife appointment today. This will probably be the last one before my due date as I'm seeing the obstetrician next week
Got today to finish my assignment, I hate leaving things this late but the last couple of weeks I've not been able to focus at all - stats is not my favourite
Hope everyone has a good, pain free day.0 -
Morning Maternity Leavers - This thread is so split into shifts LOL. The workers, mat leavers, night timers lol alsorts. Whats on our to do lists today? I got woke up by a noisey drill right outside the bedroom window. Neighbours decided they don't like their path so having it drilled up! So been up sicne 830 - sleepy want a nap now but still too noisey out there. Need to do the laundry and get some yoga done today. Had a very painful night. Slept 1-4 and then was up every hour. Antenatal last night was ok. Looked at a bag of stuff they might use when you are in hospital - catheter - epidural pack - drips - etc etc and went through the stages of labour. I think they have been more beneficial for hubby than myself so far as I have a very good grip on whats coming. And I do feel the classes are a bit rushed but I guess its a hell of a lot to fit in in a few weeks. Week after next will be looking after the newborn and life at home ...0

Hello all!
back at work today after a lovely week in Cornwall, and I just can't catch up with all of the posts that i have missed since my last session! So, congrats to Hannah and Miss Money, a big welcome to any newbies in the last week or so and Ickle the room looks gorgeous!
I am very jealous that so many of you are so well prepared - I have fifteen weeks to go now and the house is still upside down with a huge stack of things that need doing. Got really depressed the other day and my OH knows it's because we're not cracking on and getting decisions made so we canget the house finished. I'm hoping that he is going to make more of an effort now so we can make some decisions and get the relevant trades in ASAP. I'm not handling the whole pregnancy thing very well anyway, and going home to a tip of a house is not helping!
Also feeling a bit isolated and down today; I think you soon realise who your true friends are when you become pregnant! there are people that I hardly hear from now and yet I thought we were really close. I know that sometimes you just grow apart but it has still surprised me how easily I have been forgotten!
Struggling at night a little bit as well - my legs really ache in the morning these days and I've started to feel a bit nauseous again! And I am ravenous at certain parts of the day and just want rubbush food again! I'm not sure if it is my body telling me that ineed certain things or if it is me comfort eating because I'm not happy!
Sorry for the moan, just not really in the best of places today!0 -
Sorry you're feeling a bit down MissMonkeyMoo, hope your OH gets his !!!!! in gear and helps you sort out the house sharpish - perhaps you could make a plan over the long weekend coming up?
I had my 16 week midwife appointment this morning, we got to hear the heartbeat, which was lovely. Took her ages to get a clear reading, beanie was wiggling about everywhere, probably cos I'd eaten breakfast about 20 mins beforehand! :rotfl: Couldn't stop grinning on the way home, it was so lovely to hear it. Very tempted by one of the home doppler systems now, has anyone got one?Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
We do little moog, I love it but it can be a bit of a burden at times when baby is being awkward and doesn't want to stay put so I can listen to him. Also you can become a bit reliant on them and check them too much but I do think it's great as a bonding tool. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
