 had my 40 week midwife appt today (although I'm 39+6). Blood pressure was 148/98....once that bottom number hits 100 it's automatic hospital admission here, so she wasn't happy at all.

I'm off to fetal assessment at 3, where me and baby will be monitored for about an hour or so - if blood pressure stays high then I'm likely to be induced, so may end up being a rare one who has bubs on the due date!!

I'm interested to see if the ctg shows me having (early) contractions already though, as I have felt nauseous and slightly dizzy since last night - and ive been a jammy git and not had been sick the whole pregnancy at all so far so nausea is unusual for me, and (sorry tmi) had the runs since yesterday too, as well as lots of what I've assumed are BH at the top of bump and bottom of my back...hmmm!!! Midwife confirmed baby is very low in my pelvis, and my fundal height measurement is lower than last week, suggesting baby has gone down. Either way I think things are defo on the move!!!

Hi Kitten - so sweet of you to be worried about me, you are lovely. I've been lurking like a champ but only logged in recently to post. How are you doing?

Good luck Turtlemoose - hope your monitoring goes well and you feel better soon.

MrsManda Sounds like you and OH have made a tough but sensible decision, good luck with your OH's exams, am sure it will be a relief for you both when they are over :) Have you got someone on standby to be with you at the birth if OH away?

My mum has taken the Monday-Wednesday off work so is coming down on Sunday. She's my designated second labour partner if my OH isn't around. She's great though I still would prefer my OH to be with me.

    Hello all!

I've decided that it might be time to 'officially' join this thread... I have had 2 12wk scans (long and complicated story) and they reckon I'm somewhere between 13+3 and 13+5 so I'm over the <12wk thread, and the 12-24 one seems a bit quiet. You lot sound much more fun!

So. Hi. I'm either due on the 30th November or the 2nd December, depending on which scan I go by, baby was wriggling about and doing headstands at both scans which was very exciting :)
