Has anyone ordered their pram yet?

Im thinking about the Silver Cross 3d from Babies R Us as we get the Ventura car seat for free (normally £125), so thats £299 all in. Does that seem like a good deal? http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Travel-and-Pushchairs/Travel-Systems-and-Pushchairs/Pushchairs-and-Strollers/Silver-Cross-3D-Pram-System-Charcoal(0069639)

I've got my pram. I won the stroller and bought the carrycot and carseat seperate. The silver cross is a good deal though and I think a few people on here have bought it :)

Thanks emsbet, that is really useful :) I will def give some of those ideas a try. Have got some tea tree oil and lavender oil so can certainly shove some of that on them if nothing else!

Moneypuddle, you have just reminded me that I need to start thinking about getting our pram out of its box in the spare room and getting DH to teach me how to put it together and swap the bits about :D Especially as due date is getting stupidly close

We also need to see about whether our car seat needs a base or not - a job for the weekend methinks!

Have any ladies with similar due dates started taking raspberry leaf tea yet? I've just ordered some from ebay as midwife said today it would be a good idea - not looking forward to drinking it at all!

Fluffnutter I may live near you - it was me that went shopping in Southampton the other day (I'm actually going there for a course on Thursday and Friday too), but it's a 50 minute drive from where I live (I'm still on the coast, but in West Sussex).

It is you! And I'm going to lovely West Sussex tomorrow for a wander round Chichester :)

I think that's what is worrying more that I will miss out on that skin to skin contact at the first start if there are problems.

I know it's not ideal for you, but from your baby's perspective skin-to-skin is lovely with their daddies. If (in the unlikely event) you do need a section under a GA, your baby can still be happy snuggling :)

Totally agree though.. any information is empowering, and I'm keen to find out about natural birthing, not because that's all I'm prepared to entertain, but because just simply knowing about and using these methods right from the very start of labour reduces the likelihood of intervention in the first place. Plus it's making me feel so much more confident; that labour is something exciting to look forward to and not merely to be feared.

Not tried raspberry leaf tea. I keep meaning to pick some up when I go to Tesco - noticed that they sold it early in my pregnancy but decided to leave it until later. Not sure it'll do much good but if I remember I will try it.
Less than 2 weeks to my due date and the pram is still in its boxes. It's a lovely pram and I can't wait to play with it but planning on keeping it in the boxes until baby arrives as it's unlikely to be used immediately.
We set up the moses basket a few weeks ago to check everything's ok but it was put away and again won't come out until baby turns up - my OH doesn't see the point of keeping it out when it only takes 5 minutes to set up.
Plus stops us having to keep an eye on the cats who I'm sure will love to play ;)

It was so sore lying only back and they were getting us to turn over and I'm like I can't move help?!!! Lol. It seems the pain over the weekend was more sod symptoms so nothing to worry about except I'm walking with a sexy limp lol. Next one In three weeks due to my mad schedule. I'm sore now but expect to be spree in morning.

I'm sweaty and swollen and yuk. Can't wait for my other half cuddles tonight.

Aurora is gorgeous kitten. I also like Lorelei like the gilmore girls which gets shortened to rory.

Eleanor is my daughters name but I don't like her being called ellie. There are soooooooo many Ellie's around it's not even funny.

Our favorite boys name ATM is Isaac too :)

Ikkle - not sure, but if they are public then can't you post the link? If you go into an album it gives you a 'want to share this album' linky at the bottom?
