Hi everyone,
congrats on the engagement! and lovely bump pic Emsbet.
Hope labour went well miss money, hope mummy cuddles are happening right now. And welcome newbies
Hope everyone is OK, I'm sorry I have read but most things have fallen out of my head.
Not having a very nice day, had a consultant appointment and basically was told c-section is very likely to happen, and also they are anticipating early delivery so have had a steroid injection today, with one more planned for tomorrow to mature babies lungs. Baby also moved to transverse from head down, hopefully will move but if breech or anything happens before due date then c-section it is. 30% chance of c-section even if I get to labour too
Nan is worse, her liver is blocked and kidneys failing, she also failed her assessments like washing, dressing, making acup of tea and had a hypo this morning, doctors are very concerned and we are preparing for the worst so I don't think that she will be going home. Dad and my uncle were going in tonight to discuss more in detail, but very upsetting.
Anyway when got to MW, had a bit of a cry and then more anti-d and blood tests so the right side of my body aches from all the jabs and I've got bruises on arm and my butt. Wasn't my usual MW either so she must have thought I was a bit mental.
Have had some Ben and Jerrys and will be off to bed shortly, hopefully I will ache less when laying down.
Sorry to bring the mood down but DH has man-flu so more concerned with that at the moment. Not sure if he just doesn't know what to say or is that oblivous to others. Hoping not the latter

Evening all,
Massive hugs Gemma. I'm sorry you are having such a rough day.
I had my appointment with the private physio this morning. She was very nice. She doesn't think I have SPD but that my groin pain is actually being caused by extreme tightness in the muscles/joints in my back. She did some massage and manipulation to try and loosen things up and she said that should ease the pain for the rest of today. I'm not convinced it's worked as I still have the pain but it might have made a very slight difference I suppose. DH has instructions to continue the massage at home from now on...0 -
I haven't read back through today's posts yet but just popping on whilst I'm on the PC, to say hi  I'll finish reading on my phone in bed

Hope everyone is ok xxx
I've had a lovely day today - went for a (free) pedicure this morning, which was a real treat as I can't get anywhere near my feet at the mo! Then my friend and I went for a little walk by the sea and she treated me to lunch. Then we walked back and had an icecream on the way
And then I went to aldi and the bank and then sat on my new comfy garden chair and finished reading my book. And then - the best bit - my aunt organised for a gardener to come round this evening to mow our jungle-like grass and clear the path to the front door so we can actually get a pram up and down it! Bless her, I'm so happy as it looks brilliant and we just haven't had the time to even think about the garden, what with all the house diy.
DH has been in london all day for a conference and won't be home until late. I'm so glad I don't live in London anymore, it must be stifling in this weather - I love being by the seaside
(mind you it's pretty damn hot here too!)
The nappy I ordered off ebay arrived today, and looks soooo cute! Light green with white polka dots
Obviously I haven't tried it out yet so can't give a proper review, but on first impressions it looks very good quality and very adjustable to cater for different sizes. Planning to wash and dry all my nappies tomorrow so they're good to go (although we don't plan to use them for the first few weeks).
Righty ho, I'm going to stop wittering on and go and read back. Nighty night, hope you all sleep well.

I have to agree this heat is horrible. I am not very good in heat normally but am really suffering at the moment. Yesterday I nearly got into a fight with an oap in a car park so have decided that for mine and others safety I really shouldn't leave the house unless I have to until it cools down.0

Hello ladies
well I've had a traumatic 30 hours or so..... here's the story.... midwife came at 10.30 and did a membrane sweep, my waters went on the bed  she said to call her when contractions were every ten minutes. Dan went to the shop... within 30 mins the contractions were coming every 7 mins so got her back and dan filled the pool. I gripped onto my living room door like a loon trying to breath through the pains... Then came the gas and air, i like it but NOT the scooby doo effect as i call it. I could hear what people were saying but on a time delay so i could predict the future and was laughing at everyone
anyway i got in the pool with my gas and air 5-6 cm dilated. and then got urges to push.. was told to hang on,, but the urge got stronger. in all i was in labour for 3 hours and Mabel Lucy-Rose was born at 15.45 and was 8lbs 4oz. All was fine she was born into the water and she's perfect. I then got out the pool to deliver the placenta. it was intact and they manovered me to the couch to sit and breastfeed. my dd's came with my dad for cuddles and stayed for ten mins.. then dan got cuddles with Mabel. and then it all went wrong I hemoraged and was blues and twosd to the hospital (after fainting in the house thinking i was dying) i was told i had to go in cos i could have died. i was put on delivery suit and monitored. soent 24 hours in there and the staff were lovley and helpful and couldnt have asked for better care. they let me have my own room and were lovely. my iron count is v. low 7.8 if i faint anymore ive got to go back for a transfusion. but we are all home and doing well now. will post more when i get a chance. xxxxxx Bad mother to 2!
