the one I saw (he wasn't my midwife, but as the cubicles are only separated by curtains I could hear/see him dealing with the woman next door), sounded VERY camp.....I did wonder is he really a walking stereotype or does he 'camp up' a bit at work so that people think he's gay and then women (and probably their partners too!) are more relaxed!! Wish I could have asked but somehow didn't think it was appropriate LOL0

Well I'm home!! It's soooo hot here too. The cat is pretending to be annoyed but it sat in the corner just looking at us. Not at all interested that we got engaged! Huffy puss lol.
Hugs Turtlemoose have to agree about some consultants. At work I've had many cracking conversations where they suggest mad things. My consultant knows I'm a nurse, but still I think he's trying to "con" me into thinking I don't have choices about things. Bit like yours "we're going to do this....." I'm like really? Er.....I don't think so mate. It's gonna get interesting!
This is definately ice cream/lolly weather. Think I may go and raid the freezer

I'm so cross, I just got everything ready to make tea, chopped the veggies and just about to brown the beef when I realise it needed to be used by yesterday! I'm so cross with myself for wasting money! I was looking forward to it as well!
Got to go to the shop now and get something else, any ideas?

I am sooooo uncomfortable - I feel so so huge today! And hot - and I have it lucky living right here by the sea, it is 10 degrees hotter just an hour inland  Just been for a nap, its the only way I'm surviving at moment as not sleeping at night. I have promised myself that once I get this feet problem sorted (if it can be sorted) I will not mope about crying indoors but at least attempt to sit outside on my lovely new patio in the shade reading one of my many library books! That is how I envisaged my maternity leave - and indeed I see nothing wrong with having two ice-creams Emsbet - one for you, one for baby!

What a rubbish experience turtlemoose - you definately need an ice-cream to cheer yourslf up. In fact, I'm going to have a strawberry mini-milk on your behalf...I'm just too kind! :beer:MFW!

Have a good sniff of the beef, and if it smells ok use it anyway! Just make sure it's really well cooked. I don't think it will have instantly gone bad just because the dates passedLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

Too late I've binned it now, some bits were looking a funny colour anyway.

Fair enough
for reference though, red meats naturally turn brown if exposed to air. Supermarket packaging is filled with an inert gas to delay this and keep it looking "attractive" but the oxidation (browning) isn't harmful, just cosmetic. My personal rule is as long as it smells ok, it's ok to use

I don't read the dates any more but trust my instincts, sniff test etc.
I don't risk it if things look like they are on the turn etc but there are plenty of things that will last a few days longer.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
