Moving near the other woman...???

If a part of the motivation for the new year - new house plan is to move on from last year's affair then I can't imagine a worse way to move on than to move to the OW's vicinity. It would surely defeat the purpose on a stunningly grand scale?
Or moving into 'her vicinity' could be a great big statement to her
It could make the OW very uncomfortable!
I know this isn't a game and there are real feelings involved, and as i said it all depends on how the OP feels and hoe her and her hubby have dealt with what has happened
But I don't think its an outrageous suggestion by any means£608.98

it all depends on how the situation has been resolved and wether the OP has moved on from what happened
It has been a short time so maybe this is unrealistic at this stage
But why should she miss out when she has done nothing wrong?
are you nuts? why on earth would a wife want to INCREASE her chances of running into the 'other woman'?
why would she want to increase her chances of her OH running into the 'other woman'?
any woman in her right mind would want to move AWAY from the 'other woman'!!!0 -
Are you a neighbourly sort who loves popping in for cups of tea and chatting in the street? I know that I am not - I know the names of my immediate neighbours but I have little interest in inviting them in for cosy chats, or gossiping over the garden fence.
Only you know whether it would bother you to bump into this woman regularly in the street or in the local shops. I don't personally think it would bother me, but we're all different.0 -

No, I don't think I am nuts
If the husband wanted to continue the affair he could do, doesn't matter where they live
As I said, living nearer could make it much harder anyway

I would say go where is best for you and your family - if it happens that OW lives in the same place - screw her. It does depend on how much your trust your OH though, but that seems to be fine.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

Why let the past dictate your future. Id imagine that she will be keeping her head down .0

well - thats probably what the OP is afraid of!0 -
if it was me I'd be looking up and down the street to check she wasnt there everytime I opened my front door! I couldnt do it although the house does sound suited to you - is there any chance she might move instead?!0

ive got to be honest here my hubby had an affair 4 years ago- with a woman we both knew very well- i didnt find out till 2 years later after the next woman he had an affair with told me about it- well i divorced him toot sweet and didnt think seeing woman number 1 would bother me- till i had to be at a college open day near her- remebering i no longer have the husband & am very happy with someone new- the rage inside me was overwhelming when i saw her- im the same as the op hate conflict of any kind but just seeing her for that brief 10mins or so i could have killed!!! personally i couldnt put myself through that everyday-& i think no matter how strong your marriage is now- her close proximity would always leave a niggle in you- no house is worth all that. just my tuppence worth i wish you good fortune what ever you decide.Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."
