Could you tell me your reasons why?

I can understand that somone that is not nationalist nor unionist may fell sad about it however its like leaving a company you have used for years, once you have taken the step to leave you feel better and using a different company was not as bad as you thought it would be and you are better off for moving.
Are you a pr consultant for Alex Salmond (or are you the man himself)? I have no doubt you are passionate in your aim to convert everyone in Scotland to vote Yes, but do you really need to question all comments if they are in any way anti-independence? The reason I ask if you are close to, or are Mr Salmond, is that you have composed screeds of rhetoric in this thread, but in reality have not given a straight answer to any questions or contrary opinions, in much the same way as the Great Man blusters in Holyrood.

    Why am i a nutter?

We need a campaign period though.

Westminister should hand the legal power over without any ties linked to it.
Why? We are UK Citizens, so why should the majority of Scots who, as you must be aware, support the Union be subjected to the dubious and misleading questions the nationalists would impose in the referendum.

You would need to ask you mental health professional about that.

An internet forum is not the place to get psychiatric advice. :)

You obviously missed my question to you so to repeat.

I am actually quite curious as to how independence will make life better. I can see how it will be better for Mr Salmond and his merry men, but how is life going to improve for the average resident of Scotland ?

Yes. I have to question all anti-independence posts. There are one's that I want to try and understand the view of a unionist.

But there are ones that are blatant scaremongering.

The Scottish Government will be publishing their consultation on the 25th January, i read in the press this will clear a lot of things up.

This cant be rushed we will only get one chance at this give the pro-independnece parties time. I dont hear anyone going on everyday to the unionist parties that their campagn has not given any information as to how we are better in the union.

I dont believe the polls that say independence support in down in the below 30% and all the polls are rising in support of independence even they are now at around 40%, however i think it is nearer 50%.

The Scottish Government was said in the news last night going to allow the Electoral Commision to oversee the poll, so how can it be misleading.

surely it'll be utopia for everyone once they're a member of the "arc of prosperity" ?

    Who says?

I have no doubt that if the independence vote fails the pro independence people will bring it up again at the earliest credible opportunity.
I dont hear anyone going on everyday to the unionist parties that their campagn has not given any information as to how we are better in the union.

That's because the evidence of how life would be within the union is there for everybody to see. ;)

As far as I can see it will improve our life because we will keep the revenues from the oil & gas, whiskey, tourism, renewable energy sector, coal, all the taxes an independent government collects just to name a few things.

The government will be in Edinburgh not London so more accountable and less anamosity.

If the oil can be a basis for the UK government and keeps 60 million I fail to see how it cannot be the basis for an independent Scotland of 5 million.

Before somone jumps on the bandwagon that we cant rely on the oil, we wont be we have lots of other industries.

All the benifits will be in the Prospectus for Independence when its published.

It is simple maths it is easier to keep 5 million than 60 million so we would be richer.
