Devo-max for Scotland?

Well that day has well and truly come and they can't back away from it any more, they need to deliver the most fundamental part of their manifesto and give Scots the vote on independence.
The vote will be in Autumn 2014.Losing a referendum would be a bloody nose for the SNP so they're looking to water it down [Devo Max option] without losing credibility and leaving it as late as they can in the hope that they can get their message across.
They are allowing people that are not interested in politics to be educated on independence. We can manage a general election with only a few weeks campaigning, why not a referendum?
As you well know general elections are planned [STRIKE]years[/STRIKE] in advance.
The referendum has still to be legislated in parliament.
This is not a process to be rushed.
All i hear from unionists is that the SNP are trying to dupe the public, not true. Its seems to me thats what thie unionists are trying to do in trying to get a referendum vote without a proper dabate.Vote YES to Scottish Independence in 20140 -
Not really. I'm a disinterested party. I can, however, spot someone who is allowing their emotions to blind them to economic realities.
What ecomomic realities? The UK economy is worse than an independent Scotlands would be.If you seriously believe that the British government will simply hand over all future oil revenues to a devolved Scotland you are several sandwiches short of a picnic.
Maybe a devolved Scotland, but an independent Scotland they would have no choice. 200 miles out from Scottish land would become Scottish waters. That is international law.Vote YES to Scottish Independence in 20140 -
As you well know general elections are planned years in advance.
No they're not
We've had many unplanned General elections over the years, a few only a few months apart
We now have the fixed term parliament act but that doesn't mean it can't take place before the term is up0 -

Your assertion that some people require to be educated on independence is rather patronising and smacks of the brainwashing of dissidents by the old communist regimes - will they be exiled to St Kilda if they have the temerity to vote No after their 'education'?:rotfl:
I have still to see any substance in your lengthy posts that will convince anyone to switch votes - and, before you say it again, yes I know that the prospectus is due out soon. I really can't wait to see this publication and wonder what new revelations will be in it that hasn't been spouted by Salmond et al in the past. Not a lot, if anything, I suspect.
Salmond is obviously hoping that we'll be bored into submission come 2014. I'm tiring of the 'debate' already and can't see why we have to wait so long other than to keep the SNP in the headlines for as long as possible.0 -

That is what is called a lie...how many more are we going to hear from you before we are allowed to vote?0 -
2014...Commonwealth Games, 2014....700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn. Feelgood (to be Scottish) factor doesn't come into it in anyway in that year for wee eck's plan?0

They need to do another clearance of Scotland, but this time America,Canada,Australia /NZ don't want them.So I think they should be sent to Nigeria/Somalia/Angola/Zimbabwe etc and it gives England more room to keep things in (sheep etc).:money:0

Can we have an option for dissolving the Scots parliament, reinstating the grand committee, giving English regions their own grand committees as well with some devolved powers all round, doing away with inequalities in government spending biased towards Scotland and repairing relations between Scottish and English people in general. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head.
