Totally pish poll as per Salmond will try.
Why not 2012?
Maybe Mr Salmond is not wanting to foot the bill for Edinburgh's £1 billion pound tram system and the new Forth road bridge, refurbishment of Mr Salmonds rented residence of Bute house (estimate £3.5 million) or new residence which ever is more costly to the public purse as a independent Scotland or maybe it's to work out the details of the Devo Max option which I can assure you if it is part of the referendum then the majority of Scots will vote for it.
Just seems odd to me that the SNP's main policy of independance get's put on the backburner because of the newly introduced Devo Max, well I suppose it is not that odd because Mr Salmond knows that the independance vote at this point in time will not win because the majority of Scots know it is not an viable financial option and that's why Devo Max was introduced.
You see if Devo Max goes ahead and it gives Scotland more powers and financial stability then it will be ready to take the next step and go independant in the future but at this point it it is not ready.
Which brings me to the question if Devo Max is put into place to the detriment of the rest of the UK then the referendum for the option of Devo Max should be open to the rest of the UK and not just Scotland, Mr Salmond is bit of a cheeky git when he says it is non of the UKs business.0 -

The referendum needs to be legislated, that takes time.
There then needs to be a referendum campaign to let the Scots know the facts of how, in my view, independence will make their life better.
You cant just rush into a referendum, look at the lib-dems AV one, no one knew what it was about.Vote YES to Scottish Independence in 20140 -
*Cough* If they could get it over as soon as possible so nutters like you can quiet down and everyone gets on with their life.
A, we don't need 18 months of campaining for independence, it's only to satisfy some obscene idea Alex has to invoke emotion.
B, Dam right the referendum needs to be legislated, but the Elections commission has to run it, not a council made up by Alex Salmonds cronies and Scotland given power by Westminster to hold a Yes/No Vote.0 -

We need a campaign period though.
Westminister should hand the legal power over without any ties linked to it.Vote YES to Scottish Independence in 20140 -

I am actually quite curious as to how independence will make life better. I can see how it will be better for Mr Salmond and his merry men, but how is life going to improve for the average resident of Scotland ?"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

The SNP have been banging on about independance for many, many years. Why after all these years of campaigning have they not explained the facts? Why are they still not ready to ask a simple Y/N question? The pretendy parliament sits for ~2 days a week half the year and half empty at that...what have they been doing the rest of the time? Filling out their ever increasing expense claims I bet!0 -
As a Scot, I hope we don't leave the UK, it seems so sad to me0

Could you tell me your reasons why?
I can understand that somone that is not nationalist nor unionist may fell sad about it however its like leaving a company you have used for years, once you have taken the step to leave you feel better and using a different company was not as bad as you thought it would be and you are better off for moving.Vote YES to Scottish Independence in 20140 -
