  • Aren't they giving the cardboard wheel out any more? I use that all the time ( as I'm too mean to buy the calculator!) I didn't get to class this week as I had a stomach upset but I'll be there next week and hoping for a good weight loss. I have been out running every other day, and have stuck to my points for last week ( before Weigh in) This week I had one day when I didn't eat ( stomach!) but then one day when I just ate what I wanted as my appetite was back. I was back to my 29 points today, and trying to save all my weeklies as off to a friends on Saturday night for a meal with wine!

No Minty the wheels are no longer added to the starter packs. As I said they were found by the majority of members to be confusing.
Personally I hated it and having to demonstrate how to use it each meeting was the biggest pain - I no longer have to do that :D

Im on the monthly plan, just finding the tools a bit confusing. I think Ive managed it though, have been using the recipe builder for things that I tend to cook for the whole family and it works out that I can still have a portion (albeit a smaller one) and just top up with veg so quite happy with that, I hope Ive worked it out right anyway!

ETA - Oooh how exciting Ive just found all the recipes!!

Has the minimum changed from 29 to 26 now?
Well not that it's a problem for me, I'm.. well.. just a couple of points above that..:o
I'm going to sign up for the 3 months plan, have a look at the new system and see if it's right for me.
I used to follow the previous system and I liked the fact of having points, simple to follow, but the new system seems rather complicated. I used to go shopping with my calculator back then, and but having to enter 4 bits of information now would take too long.
I think WW is one of the best diets out there. :T

I never used the wheel, as it was a bit of a pain. But doing monthly pass and having access to all the online tools is so much easier. Although I admit to not really counting points properly any more.

But I do have an excuse, and its because I work away a lot, so eat in hotels at night. I find that keeping to 'filling and healthy' has stopped me gaining at the moment, but I need to do more exercise.

The new system came into effect from January, but when it was introduced online and at meetings in December we were told that we didn't have to stick to it, and could use our existing points. Because of being away I haven't made it to a meeting, but hope to get to one next week some time.

If you have an android phone you can get "The Ultimate Weightwatchers Diary" app, it's £2.49 and has the calculator, tracker and diary. I got it yesterday and it's brill.

    Hi,

    Can I join?

I have been trying to lose weight on and off for a few years. I managed to lose 11lbs a couple of years ago and then put on 28lbs.

I started again last October with a weight loss nurse and I managed to lose 6lbs between October and December. Between December and Friday, I then put on 1.75lbs and she wasn't happy so decided it was best not to see me any more as I wasn't losing fast enough.

I decided to join weightwatchers online on Friday using TopCashBack to get the first 3 months for free. Since then I have lost 2.4lbs (in 3 days! :j) to make a total loss since October of 6.6lbs. I have another 64lbs to get to the weight I would like to be.

I also would like to lose as much as possible before my wedding in May as I would love to look good on that day and my honeymoon.

    Evening everyone,

    Week 2 and I lost another 2lb !! :j And I gained my first 'Silver 7'.

Was somewhat surprised as it's TOTM but I'm not complaining :D. I used up all of my weekly points (give or take a couple). No activity but I'm still taking it easy due to a dodgy ticker . Planning to walk into town tomorrow morning though and I might get 'Just Dance' out on the Wii later in the week if I'm feeling energetic enough.

I have my work xmas party on Saturday (work in retail so we always have it after xmas) so I'll be saving all my extra points and trying to earn some activity ones for then. Going to eat before I go so I'm not too tempted by the buffet. Will try not to drink too much either :o. Definitely have a boogie so I can earn a few points :p:rotfl:.

Welcome to the newbies .... stick with it, it does work :T.

Have a good week everyone ! xx

    Hi All,

I did WeightWatchers some years back, and lost just over 2 stone with them. I since put it back on again, but then lost it again naturally when I moved to NL (culture change!).

However, I've now settled into the country more, know where to find my favourite treats, and discovered some new ones!!! And last year was particularly stressful. Towards the end of it, I started to pig out way too much, and stopped the Qi Kwan Do classes as I had to have a small op on my wrist.

Since then, I've been telling myself that I will eat more healthily today/this week/next week etc and start exercising again, but it hasn't happened. And the lbs have definiately crept on as I've gone up a dress size.

Now, I don't think I have too much to lose (I haven't got on the scales yet!), but I want to get things under control again before it becomes a bigger challenge (and before I have to shell out on an entire new summer wardrobe!). Plus, having just had a bout of flu, I want to improve my diet some more to maximise vitamin intake etc.

So, seeing as I got on so well with WW in the past, I thought I would have a look at the online version. It looks great! Only trouble is with the cost. I can afford it, but I am bit loathed to fork out without being able to give it a trial run and see how good it really is.

So, are any of you using the online WW? If so, how are you finding it? Do you feel it is worth the money?

    Thanks in advance.

    Euro xx

  • Hi - Can I join you

I attend meetings on a Saturday morning and started on 14th January. I've lost 7.5lbs so far.
I am on 27 Pro Points plus 49 - I tend to use them all every week

I'm not generating or using any activity points!
I've also taken my measurements for the weeks when I don't have any weight loss, I'm hoping I can check them and they will help motivate me.

I go on holiday on 16th March so I'm hoping to have lost around 20lbs by then
