  • majjak - when I did WW before I'd usually spread the weekly allowance over the week, seven extra a day, unless I had a big night out coming up, in which case I'd save it for that. I ended up losing between 1-2 pounds a week.

This time around I'm going to a different meeting as I've moved cities, where my leader says use the weekly allowance when you need to, ie an anniversary, but don't if you don't have to. So so far I haven't used it, but if a big night out comes up I'll dip into it then.

There seems to be a bit of divided opinion whether to use it all every week or not!
  • Just joined a WW meeting tonight. Tried the online thing, but it really didn't suit me. I need the motivation of turning up at a meeting and someone else weighing me and then sitting through a motivational meeting.

I'm the same minimoneysaver, I need that weekly weigh-in to keep me on track !

First two days have gone great here, managing to fit WW in with the family mealplans (slightly tweaked) which is great news. I did have to go and get a bit more fruit and veg and a couple of other bits for my lunches but I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy the new pro-points plan is.

I signed up for the monthly pass online so I can get points values at the touch of a button :D.

Have woken up ravenous this morning so going to have a nice big bowl of warming porridge. Wish the weather would cheer up a bit so I can go out for a walk :(

  • Only lost 1lb at my weig in on Tuesday which was a bit disheartening as I'd been out for a run 4 times, but never mind. The running isn't really to help wit my weight loss, it's just a seperate challenge to myself, so I'm not counting it as activity points.
It was the wrong time of the month, and that does seem to affect my weight, so hopefully it will be better next week!
  • I've just got the monthly pass too. Makes tracking points on the iphone dead easy!
  • so glad theres a thread for this!!
joined up through tcb and have just over a stone to lose (at the least!! )
struggling with lower daily allowance and eating all my weekly points all in one go!! :p
I cant afford to keep doing this over and over (paid for 6 months last yr) so this needs to be it! (no pressure eh!)

  • Hey everyone,

I spent a lot of 2011 feeling sorry for myself and as a result have gained about 2.5 to 3 stone in the last 11 months. This is the heaviest I've ever been and feel vile. I'm doing WW at home using their iPhone app.

The thing is I can't even bear to weigh myself now so I'm hoping I can really push this for a month and then weigh myself....

  • Am thinking of joining Weight Watchers, but need some advice on if/how well it works. I know you only get out what you put in, and ive been very successful on SW before. I do get bored with SW though and im hoping WW might bring something new and keep me interested. Otherwise i was thinking of joining the tesco diets...but havnt heard much feedback on this either. Anyone done either or both? Any recommendations welcome.

Have tried WW before but in the old days before its was all this pro points business, so have no idea how it works these days (think i was allowed 18 points last time and always seemed hungry, but im guessing this might have changed with this new fandango pro points thing???)

    Help!
    :p
