    Hi all

I (re) started Weight Watchers last weekend. I've got 3 months online subscription through a Groupon offer. I've done Weight Watchers through meetings before with varying degrees of success.

This is my first time with Pro Points and I am finding it much harder to get my head round than I did the 'old' points system. Biggest shock was finding that a bottle of wine was something close to 20 points, rather than the old way when it was 7 1/2! Consequently I haven't had a drink all week but am having a couple of glasses tonight.

I think I have almost been too 'good' this week though and am having a wobbly night. I've used very few of my weekly points as I wanted to get my diet off to a kick start. Tonight I feel like I could eat my body weight in chocolate or something equally 'bad'!

I'll be weighing myself on Sunday and am hoping I get a good loss to give me the motivation/incentive to carry on. I have a LOT of weight to lose so am in it for the long haul. Whether I stick with Weight Watchers after the 3 months or not remains to be seen!

  • Hello all

    Slinks back in :o

I have had a toughish few months with work/illness/life so have slowly fallen off the WW wagon. I don't think I've tracked properly in about 6wks :o. I think I've put on about 5lbs. I will check Monday as that will be my normal WI day.

Anyway, I am totally 100% back in the right frame of mind to heave my !!! back on the WW wagon :rotfl:. I've got the new magazine here, and am reading it now. I'm going to spend this weekend batch cooking a few low point recipes to stock up my freezer. It's good timing as it's payday weekend so I can go shopping for some low point treats too.

I found out this week that I need to have a small operation in next few months (nothing serious) which will be under general anaethestic (sp?) and am panicking about being so overweight! So want to lose as much as I can before then, aiming for a stone by Jan.

I also need to start jogging again, I was really enjoying starting the C25K programme but due to illness and weather I've not been out for 3wks.

Hope you all have a good weekend :D

First weight in since starting last Sunday and I've lost 6.4lbs which I'm really pleased about. Hopefully I can smash the half stone barrier next Sunday and a stone by Christmas. :j

  • Well I've done well and stuck to WW since I posted on Sat :) and am enjoying it. I spent Sunday batch cooking and made 6 portions of veggie chilli (2pps per serving), 5 portions of veggie curry (4pps per serving), 3 portions of lentil and carrot soup (4pps per serving) and a big lentil pie (3pps per serving). As well as the 3pps per serving Lemon Drizzle Cake!! Phew!

I had the veggie chilli tonight in wraps, very yummy.

I really should have gone out for a jog this evening, but I'm still feeling a bit off colour, and the sofa called me! But I did have a 20min walk to various places during work.

I did a WI on Monday and have put on 4.5lbs since I last properly WI'd on WW (about 7wks) ago. So not as bad as I thought. I'm aiming to shift a stone by Xmas, but will be happy with 10lbs.

Hi everybody. I just wanted to post some of the things that I have eaten to get where I am now. It is such an amazing feeling getting in to the size that you are aiming for so heres a few of the foods I have eaten - my pp daily allowance was 28

Warburtons Fruit loaf - lovely toasted and only 2pp for one or 5pp for two!

Warburtons soft seeded sandwich thins. I toast these and put a bit of ham in the middle - only 3pp!

Treat size mars bars - 2pp

Morrisons own range (NUME) chilli con carne and wedges with just the right amount of cheese on top, I bu the frozen version - only 8pp very filling and does not taste at all like 'diet food' lol

Morrisons own medium bread is only 2pp a slice

A twirl from a multi 4 pack is only 5pp - thats a good amount of chocolate for really not a lot of points!

Anyway those are a few of the things that have helped me through. I was always a bit naughty as in I never counted butter or milk as propoints but I still managed very well.

How long have you been at your goal weight and how much did you lose to get there? I've managed it twice, once going solo using the Rosemary Conley hip and thigh diet book (long time ago!) and once with WW. The hard part is keeping the weight off! I managed to keep it off for quite a while both times but then it started to creep on again and both times I ended up heavier than I'd been in the first place.

I am intending this time to weigh myself weekly if and when I reach my goal weight and then do something about it if I have put a couple of pounds or more on. I really couldn't put myself through this just to regain it all and more besides all over again.

When I first started out I was 11st 3lb. I dropped a stone exactly with atkins and stayed like that for another 2 yearsish, then I started again as I wanted to be a size 8 and at that weight I was a 12. I yoyo dieted for a couple of years up and down up and down then finally knuckled down a few months ago, it came off really quick. So far so good, I think I'm doing so well because at a size 8 your appetite really decreases so your just not hungry and if I suddenly decide I want to comfort eat I do - but within my points allowance. With things like the sweet fruit loaf, mini mars bars and crisps being so low in points anyway I just make wiser choices when it comes down to it. My biggest fail has always been the week run up to my period - generally if it wasn't nailed down I'de eat it lol! Now I just find things that are very low in points. Another excellent thing is the new Heinz Five Beanz - only 5pp for the WHOLE tin so with 2 pieces of toast only 9 points and reall filling. x

Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but a whole 415g tin of these is 9PPS according to WW Propoints tracker.
