Hi all, may I join you.
Joined on 14th Jan, I go to a Saturday morning class which is great. I can't do an evening class after work, I tried it several times but after work I just want to go home.
I lost 16.5lb between 14 Jan and 15th March
Then I went to S Africa for 4 weeks...
I put on 3lb in the 4 weeks I was away, my first WI was last Saturday, 2nd WI tomorrow.
However I have self sabotaged all week and have probably put on even more.
I have averaged 45 pp each day this week
Just trying to get back into the zone.
I have WI tomorrow so will hopefullly draw a line and can then move on

Welcome to the newbies.
I have been doing ww since January. I found my first meeting really daunting but now I am one of the old hands. I always stay for the "talk" after weigh-in as I find it really motivating.
Lost 3lb this week (don't quite know how) which has taken me up to my 15% and 1lb shy of losing 2 stone. I bought a size 16 skirt this week which fitted and have got rid of my size 20s.
I think it is a great idea to measure yourself so you can see how you visibly shrink, I wish I had done the same.
I agree that it is important to plan meals in advance, but also allow yourself some (planned) treats so you don't get bored.
I try and ward off evening snacking by entering competitions on the computer, which has resulted in some wins (non-foodie, of course!).
A couple of other things which has kept me motivated. I use WW online and track my weight online. Seeing the line on the graph coming down each week is great. Also I invested in a WW pedometer, which helps track how many activity Pro Points you earn. It has helped me to see that just doing the walking I normally do in a day as part of my SAHM routine I can earn quite a few points. Rather than making me smug it has spurred me on to do more.
Sorry about the disjointed ramblings. Looking forward to my weekly Chinese treat this eve.
Best wishes everyoneTheir=belonging to them, There=over there

Welcome Mrsmum and well done FFran!!
I went to a food festival today, nightmare cos I was surrounded by lots of yummy cakes, breads, snacks, cheese etc  I had a few nibbles of cheese and sampled some jam, but on the whole I was very good. I bought some lovely herby bread, which I'm going to portion up and freeze so I'm not tempted to eat it all in one go!
Off to cinema tonight, will have a low point dinner so I can have some popcorn

Hi All,
Congrats to all who have lost at WI this week, reading your posts really does help to motivate me.
Did my food shop today, took me 2 hours (!) because I had my propoints calculator out the whole time checking things. Funny how many things I found that said 'lowfat or trim' were actually more points than the regular version! Trolley filled with lovely healthy choices I queued up behind someone with a trolley full of ready meals and prepacked everything. Annoyingly her food costed only £1 more than mine but I did take pleasure in thinking how much better mine was for me.
Wondering if you can help me with points? I have so much weight to loose I have 43PP a day. Now that I have myself in the WW mindset I am trying to eat healthy foods but with such a high point allowance I've always got some leftover at the end of each day and havent yet used any of my weeklies. I know from other posters that I am better off using all the points as leaving them can slow weight loss. I could eat more of what I am now but will be eating about 5 meals a day that way, or I could have a few naughty treats but am scared that will lead to gains? What do you do?
Thanks in advance,

TBH I can't comment from experience as I have only ever had a maximum of 28 points (now on 26) and have no trouble using up them and my 49 weekly:rotfl:
I suggest you speak to your leader before the next meeting if necessary and see what she suggests. From a comment overheard at our meeting I think you are supposed to use up all of your daily points and keep the 49 points for planned treats such as a meal out etc, so not to worry if you don't use the 49.
What I did find was that I was ever so virtuous at the start and didn't want to eat any naughties, such as WW crisps and biscuits but as the novelty wore off I started to feel deprived so did begin to indulge. As long as I stayed within the points the weight continued to come off so perhaps you should let yourself relax a little bit if you want to. It is very difficult at the start to believe it will all work but you will soon see the scales showing you it does.
Good luckTheir=belonging to them, There=over there

Kiwichick, I am on 44 points a day and do sometimes struggle to eat them all (although some days I can easily!!). For te time being stay away from low fat/WW versions of stuff and have the 'normal' higher points things (although I do agree that some LF stuff is higher than 'normal versions!).
To bump up my points I have things like a small block of cheese for 4 points as a snack when I come home from work. If you have meals with pastas/rice/pots then have a bigger portion. Then cut down as you go down in points.
I pretty much save my weeklies for socialising. I go out for dinner once or twice a week so it covers that!
