  • Think I'm turning into a diet bore :rotfl: just eaten the no-point soup (name makes me laugh too) yum. I've also planned a roast dinner and still enough points for a glass of wine with it tonight :D

OH has commented that he seems to be losing weight but doesn't know why as he's not dieting...! (he doesn't think any program like WW could possibly work, everyone knows the only way to lose weight is to eat less ie starve yourself  )
I'll wait until his loss is a definite and then tell him ;)

You need to talk to yourself about why you joined in the first place.
Sit down and re-read the inspirational weightloss stories - I'm sticking to it as I've now spent money to join (albeit through a cashback site)

Not telling you what to do but do build some treats in to encourage you - I used my weekly points to allow me some wine at the weekend and spent the week looking forward to enjoying that. I'm also "treating" myself to a long bubble bath + pamper session midweek providing I've stuck to the plan. HTH :)

    Hey all

I've been away for 3 days in Edinburgh on hols, and totally took a holiday from WW too :o. But I did walk miles and miles each day! :rotfl:

Totally back on plan today. I didn't track at all last 3 days, had 2 afternoon teas, and only had grapes for fruit intake.

I need to write a shopping list and go shopping at some point today, so will check out what is on offer everywhere.

Hoping to be able to counteract any weightgain by Mondays WI!

Well.............after 4 weeks of talking about it I FINALLY went to my first WW yesterday. I felt awful as it is a big group and I felt everyone was looking at the new girl. Still, stuck it out through WI (19st11lb!) and sat for the meeting.

The meeting gave me more confidence as they obviously a closeknit group who have a good giggle. The leader is inspiring because I have 8st11lb to loose and shes lost 9st.

I have a massive 43 points to use each day but was still scared of using them all so didnt eat enough during the first half of the day, will learn from that tomorrow and eat more for breakfast as I have just treated myself to choc digestives and a hot choc and still have 8 sodding points remaining!

Scared I'll fail at this, all my eating is emotional and I'm a single mum to 3 so once they are in bed of an evening I normally eat. Will probably be posting on here most evenings instead to try and break that habit!

Looking forward to joining the thread more often.

Welcome kiwichick and well done for joining!!

My start weight was just 0.5lbs less than you 6 weeks ago, and I have since lost 11lbs on WW :) I'm really enjoying it and find I can eat loads. Do eat all your points though, it does seem silly to have to eat extra stuff just to be at the points amount, but it works for some unknown reason!

*waves* @ Kiwichick! You can do it :)

I've just hit my 7lb (personal) first target. :D And that was after an attack of the cheese monster around midnight on Wednesday :(

    Evening All,

Thanks for the welcome wishes. Bit of a struggle today as I work through lunch and hadnt prepped anything to come home to was starving come 4pm. Stuffed 4 ryvita with marmite down while making the kids dinner - though what I REALLY wanted was marmite on toast with loads of melted butter!!! Must plan more, need to do a food shop so will try to do a bit of a menu plan to stop days like this happening again.

The thing I find hardest at the moment is portion sizes. I was clearly eating enough for 2 or even 3 people most meals and snacking liberally in between so not finding myself full after meals. Think I will go to the start of this thread and read through everyones experiences for tips.

Must also take some photos and measurement as have read on here that its a helpful motivator.

Kiwichick - butter is the same propoints value as marg! So I use that, albeit sparingly, on toast. Fruit is great to snack on for no points, or chopped up veg. I find a banana fills me up better than toast.
