Personally, I'd evict the cats then.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Got to read all which has been posted today but just had to tell you all about my proud mum moment.....middle son got an A* in an end of unit physics test! So chuffed but it is going to cost me major pennies as an A* is the main big treatworthy grade.
Well, major pennies to me, maybe not to others....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Trouble is, I suspect new owners will put in PP for an extension - and it'll be ripped out PDQ. It's way too close to the house to ever survive any form of extension.lostinrates wrote: »Gosh. I would defintely ask new owners if you can come back get a rip apple and leaves on a small branch and send it off. Some things are worth a small fee.0 -
Ah... problem would be solved by you pushing your own single up alongside the current bed then ... with your preferred mattress on it.lostinrates wrote: »No. Dh sleeps right in the middle when he is home, then the cata, then i hang off the edge. Usually my bum is well over the edge.

Drag all the kids up to see it - that counts as a valid party activity and it's free.I take it all back - I went on the interactive map page before and it doesn't look like it is coming closer than Luton...but then if you ask to see the route and zoom in it is passing the end of our road may be a whole 200m so we might wander out to have a look although I think it will be in the middle of DD1s birthday party....0 -
Popping involves a 40 mile round trip and paying £5 for a car park. Not very MSE.vivatifosi wrote: »Or pop to Wilkos where cans of Coke and Diet Coke are 50p each and have the bonus of being chilled.
Just thought you should know. For when you a) find a pound coin and b) there's a gorgeous aspie and c) there's no-one else watching and d) you're closer than 100 miles from the nearest Wilkos.
Bound to happen.
For the record, there are two stores with a 40 mile round trip involved.... and the 3rd nearest store is ... a 100 mile round trip

I can't pretend to be an expert on English /Welsh school system in the 60s and 70s (not sure the Scottish or NI version was very much better either, before anyone asks). but I don't imagine it was very nurturing for girls with academic ability. And a highly intelligent girl got 2 O levels. Time for an alternative approach!
In fact.... no I better stop talking right there, as I can feel a rant coming on.:mad:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
