That's really good news...now you just have to figure out how to work it in to conversation some time with your parents...

...and of course we missed you.

Made that call today, they took it well. One said they it must have been difficult not to be able to share and the other admitted they couldn't have coped with anything else to worry about.

How much does it cost to have someone else set up all that gumph with blogger etc for you?

Another question with many answers.... it's only a couple of clicks to join up and start - no setting up ... now ... if you want it to look different, or you need to put special code in, or you want it to do other stuff ... etc .... that depends how long it'll take really.

It's a bit like asking "how long will it take to move into a new house and live in it?" Depends if you want different flooring, how long to choose the flooring, who will be there when it's fitted. Want the walls painting? Need new furniture, need to spend time finding/choosing the furniture and waiting in for deliveries... need curtains/tracks? Need to find them and choose them ... need to find somebody to put them up ... and measure the windows for curtains...

Or you could just move in with a lilo and kettle and say "that's done"

    Truth? Aspie-style ... no.

I never notice when people aren't here.... I'm useless like that.

I'd need to keep a stalker diary on my desk (which I don't have) to be able to perform this level of functionality.

Anyway, now you're home - and recuperating... presumably. A top tip from somebody who is doing all this stuff.... DO IT NOW: Get all your parents' family photos together and digitize them and stick them onto a photo frame in a slideshow so they can see them all again (no good in books, nobody gets albums out).... and gather all those little stories/anecdotes about their early lives - and relatives... and get going on that family history chart.

Stuff like that only happens at critical moments - when it's too late and you wish you'd done it years ago.

My family always get albums out. In fact I am behind in getting photos printed off and put in albums. About 6 years to catch up on.

Are you being picky about the people you will sell eggs to? Or is this another business that's not been mentioned a lot before?
