Grrrr! Driving home down a country lane but blew a tyre in a pothole hidden in a puddle.
Yup and there's a hosepipe ban in my area.
Got the car home and changed the tyre myself when I realised that calling someone out would take longer and leave me out of pocket until my breakdown service reimburses me. (Except the breakdown service would have proper tools that would do the job in seconds and it took me the best part of half an hour).
Reminds me why I don't bake my own bread/ cut my own hair/drill my own teeth/ etc.:oThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

We would love to come again (you might want to correct that "voming" typo, particularly in conjunction with a comment about your delectable baking). Exams shouldn't be too much of a problem if I am organised with myself during the working week.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I like mushrooms
Abi Wade, amazing cellist who uses her cello as more than a cello and coordinates all her music
Ah, missk, I never expected to meet another Abi Wade fan on this thread.. I hope you like her stability
I like mushrooms, too

Oh gosh.... which set of utter lies to use to explain myself.... I guess right now (it changes monthly) it's a choice between:
1] Single, whacko, homeless person, with no goal, hangs out online too much.
2] Tenacious entrepreneur, still searching for the big time, has big ideas and ambitions and will shortly be embarking upon a new adventure ... and more Pastures New
[1] Seems closest most of the time.0 -

[1] Seems closest most of the time.
Versatile, self-motivated and hard-working entrepreneur, whose plans have been significantly but temporarily sidetracked recently by sacrifice of a great deal of time to support elderly parents.
Edit: That's my opinion of Pastures, not a description of me. I am *not* and never will be an entrepreneur.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Welcome Mother of Students.....
My introduction - Single (as in divorced) parent of 3 children, all of whom have some kind of disability or another, not working as a result although I have not given up hope. Can be a bit off the wall or odd and use the NP thread for friends as my RL social life is horrendous, in fact it doesn't exist due to not being able to go out and about because of said disabled children.
I am a lover of mushrooms but hate peas, love a bargain but rarely buy (I get hives at the thought of spending money) and I tend to burn the candle at both ends which has, in the past, resulted in me having a complete breakdown.
I've not met any of the NP but do know at least one MSE member in RL....I knew them before MSE and discovered they were also members through general chat.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Forecase said sun, but its cloudy and wet again. Even the geese are starting to look piddled off. The horses all look depressed beyong cure.
Saw two ducklings yesterday, so might take some food down for the wild waterfowl later, they seem a little bit bolder this year0
