oh lir! I meant to say, mid-June? I will PM exact dates0

But they are already extremely popular, aren't they? Among the couples I know who have reached that "definitely don't want any (more) kids" stage, I know of lots who've had it done, and only one who hasn't - and of course lots where I don't know and wouldn't ask. LNE was talking about having one after we had DD, but of course when he left me it became irrelevant.
PS motherofstudents, do feel free to ask what we're on about if we refer to stuff you don't know. LNE stands for my late-nearly-ex-husband, who died a few years ago while in the process of divorcing me.
ETA Note to self: Remember to click "quote" rather than just typing a reply. Otherwise you will find yourself apparently saying that anglepoises and mushrooms are popular when you meant vasectomies. :wall:
Of course, in our case its not necessary or wanted, but dh is really uncomfortable about the idea of vasectomy, which, seeng as he is jewish would i suppose be his second encounter with the old anglepoise.....0 -

Awww thanks.lostinrates wrote: »Are we doing introductions? I am lir. I am childless but like children, married. Um. Bit eccentric. Broke my brain in twenties, have nit really worked since and have only a slight acquaintance with spelling as a result. Smetimes i am illegible. Its fine to ignore me then, some of the nice people have been reading it for so long they understand the most remarkable collection of letters,:o:D. I live in a wreck with no heating, so i complain about being cold a lot. And i talk about my dh all the time, and my animals. Dunno what else.....um, i do drink, unlike lydia, but i am off it atm. Non smoker, gsoh, wltm np 4 laughs. ( I think that how this sort of thing usually ends?:rotfl: )
Children tend to like lir as much as she likes them. Mine like her, and her husband too - he posts very very occasionally as foundinrates. She's the only NP I've met IRL. (I mean obviously I've met other people who are nice, just no other people from this thread.) Doozer's met lir too, and so had fc I think, and NDG, although fc and NDG are very busy and hardly ever post these days, which is a pity because they're both lovely.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Oooooooh, good! I expect that might be awkward for lydia with exams? If not do you fancy voming again too lydia? I promise not to bake with courgettes:D
Oh crikey. Coming again. I accept you will vom if i bake with courgette.0 -
So, you had a vasectomy done, and it's the light you remember. See how good these Anglepoises are!
I remember the nurse better. She took the trouble to find out what I was interested in, then wound me up a bit. While I was having a bit of a rant, the doctor worked his or her (can't remember that!) evil magic.
I just remember the light being brought down as they went into action, and feeling its warmth......not on my face!0 -
lostinrates wrote: »Did it become irrelevant? Did he want more children do you think? I think the point is it might not have been irrelevant, just not so pressingly relevant....i think that happens a fair bit, and gets put off one more time.
Well, it became irrelevant to me. And irrelevant to him for the time being. No, he didn't want more children, and I daresay he'd have had got one if he'd got into another proper relationship, but after being on/off/on/off with his other woman for a while, he was single for a bit and then obviously it became entirely irrelevant when he died.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I know another debate forum member who does mot post in this thread and does not know i know who they are. Which is weird.

Confusing? I think so!

You are a funny lot. I'm sure I'll catch on to what you are talking about......eventually.
Have to go to bed as my eyes are stinging now. Think I will be dreaming of Anglepoise, vasectomies and mushrooms. Night, MOS.0 -
I remember the big needle
Had mine done between 5-7 years ago.
I've met at least one NP though not a regular poster and gawd knows if anyone is here from a previous forum I was a member of which was a little bit like TNPT.0 -
Oh, and found in rates seems to have lost his password for here. He was muttering about that the other day. I thinkhe was planning to brave the mortgages board.0
