No, no. Not even the most hard core nice person can have read them all. Just join in. :). Some of us habe been chatting for years now, so we can seem a bit tight knit, but when new people join we welcome them. :)

So I put the house to rent for the Olympics thinking it would pay to have the decoration done but now I have interest for one week post Olympics - problem is it is only worth the whole deal if I rent it for at least 2 Olympic weeks as well so what do I do with the offer on 1 week?

What I want for the wall lights would be 3 spots on a bar but with a cowl in front so I could choose which bits of the big desk to light but the lights would be shaded from your eyes, but I can't seem to find such a light for sale :(

By the way I was only joking about no one replying before.

Oh, for goodness sake! Just buy an Anglepoise and stick it on the desk.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Depends on the desk though...if its not big the angle poise takes up valuable desk space. And if its in a dual purpose room playin kids can pull it off and break it...isn't mchaels place all open plan now?

We have 4 Anglepoises scattered around the house. I gave up buying the cheap derivative versions because they are not nearly as well made. I dropped one of the cheapo ones and it snapped. I've dropped my bedside Anglepoise a few times over its 30 years of use, and it's fine. Not the most romantic lighting, but it works.

Are shows bout hoarders the new cookery or property shows?

I've got to say they're compulsive viewing. Ever since I saw Mr Trebus on 'Life of Grime,' I've been looking for more.

    Now I can start a collection. :D
