I wonder how many people realise Vatican City is a Country even though it's in Rome?
A really nice Principality to visit is San Marino. Hop on a cheap Ryanair flight to Rimini, see how the Italians beach Holiday, then get the Bus up to San Marino for a couple of nights. Easy to do on a budget, even there. Useless information alertThere's never been a Grand Prix in San Marino!
I read that Prince Rainer (the ruler of Monaco) was on a tour of New Orleans and was shown aroud the superbowl. They asked him if Monaco would get one of these and he replied if it did, it would become the world's first indoor country! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Leaving Stansted airport, I’ll give you the number of a cheap (but good) taxi driver. He was doing us £60 into London when noone else would touch it for less than about £110!💙💛 💔0 -
Gah, just wrote and it disappeared. I hate that.
I'm pooped. Thank you for the kind wishes, I did read some in my lunch break on Monday. I think I'll survive it - hopefully I can exceed expectations without trying too hardIt's a change from working from home - you don't realise just how intensely you work alone, until you work in an office and realise that being nice and listening to people talking about football and slimming world is part of staying employed.
The people I work with clearly have a lot of carp to contend with. I think I live in quite a nice place, but it evidently has pockets with serious issues.I'll do my little bit to make it easier for them to do their job.
I need to read and catch up with the niceness now.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'd heard that but it doesn't say it on the packaging does it?
Are the muscle-relaxants able to be used for other purposes hence the OTC restriction?
Years and years ago, I think our cat had a go at of one of my mum's baclofen capsules that must have fallen down the back of the cabinet.
That was one floppy cat for a whileHow is Miss Kool's back? Will I find out?

I hope you are not one of those people who skip to the last chapter of a novel rather than reading all the way through...
Glad the job was good, I 100% agree with you that working at home can be so much more productive.Doozergirl wrote: »That was one floppy cat for a whileHow is Miss Kool's back? Will I find out?

Dh says i am way tougher on procrastination than any one else he works with. I say its because any one else he works with does not care about our mortgage. I bring tea, and lunch but do not linger to chat, and tell him off if i see him getting distracted or dithery. For all his good points he can be a bit of a ditherer at times, and i tell him that.
Speaking of bad points, sadistic boss tried stirring waters again and made himself look like prat to someone else...a client. Dh was not there, so is content sb seems to be getting near to self destruct, or at least embarrassing himself.0 -

If I work from home then this is how it goes:
9am - wake up. stay in bed
10am - consider getting up
11am - get up, shower, breakfast
11.10am - 5pm - play computer games
5pm - 7pm - play computer games, niggling feeling of guilt
7pm - 2am - do work
So I don't work from home!
I am far more productive in the office, although that said I am far far more productive in the office on a saturday or sunday where there is no-one else here. i do manage to steer clear of almost all small talk and basically ignore anyone outside of my immediate team unless i need them to do something. as a result i have quite a bad reputation amongst my peers (i.e. they all hate me), but the managers all like me.0 -
I'm not a professional shopper, viva.
This is my Quidco since 2005/6
There's a toolbar now that goes on your browser and it pops up and tells you if you can get cashback which is good for forgetful people like me. I don't do much online shopping now, I've moved to doing the local thing as much as possible but I do use it for insurances religiously, I usually use it around Christmas and I used to use it for utility swapping but haven't done for ages. I've used it for click & collect at B&Q - they've never picked it when I turn up but I still get the cashback, so sod it.
There's no reason why not to, iyswim.
I find more is declined these days but I think maybe I'm not so hot on deleting cookies anymore and I usually screw something up and end up phoning them but actually sometimes get cashback for things I haven't bought so it's swings and roundabouts.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
