it was on the floor because i was sleeping the spare room last night* and there is only a bed and the floor in there; nowhere else to put it.
* mrs chewy is ill with a horrid cough which has kept me awake for 2 nights running and i needed some sleep, i have not been banished. so i got some sleep but it cost me £89.99!0 -

Ummm...'mrs chewy'??? Careful chewy, sounds like you are losing some commitment phobia. Next thing you know you'll be on one knee in the Cosy with a ring and the kit from the love room begging for a hand in marriage......0 -

i don't think that even i could find a way to blame her for this one, although i could try telling her that in her feverish hallucinogenic state she walked into the spare room and stuck it under my foot as i was stepping backwards. i'll give it a try and let you know how i get on.
i think you can just re-download all of your past purchases onto your new kindle once you have registered it with your amazon account.
to be fair there aren't that many of them because i have only had it for three weeks. i'm not normally one for smileys but:

Is the screen glass or plastic? always wanted to know, and does it make dangerous shards/splinters? Thanks for carrying out the experiment, and do please share the results around for maximum benefit. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
BTW, I've had my Kindle for a year or so, and I haven't paid anything for ebooks. http://www.ereaderiq.co.uk/free/
Project Gutenberg, etc etc etc etc

Mrs. Wheezy got her Kindle last Christmas and she's really happy with it, she hasn't purchased much either.
Mostly free stuff, sometimes a Kindle deal of the day for 99p.
I must not forget to tell her not to stand on it though.
What is Calibre?0
