I was going to suggest Psycho for some reason and having the rest of this evenings thread I don't think I am far from the mark :eek:I wish I'd said it was like a scene from a Daphne DuMaurier novel.
I was going to apply the cod psycho-analysis about rings and commitment but LIR got there first.chewmylegoff wrote: »That is how mine starts. Then I get an eerie feeling that there is something behind me. And then I can see it, a freaky little girl like out of the ring or something like that, creeping up on me, I can see it but can't move. Absolutely effing terrifying. I didn't sleep for 3 nights after the first time it happened. I only found out what it was by accident reading a thread on here somewhere.
Don't use this but can see it would be great - I think some people try and chase items beyond what they are worth but if you bid in the last seconds they can not do that. You used to get topcashback (ask me for a referral link) on most stuff at ebay worth about 3-5% of selling price but it is much more restricted now.As I'm always boring on about on other threads, you can use auctionsniper if it's a bidding auction, especially useful if you're butuying in a idfferent time zone. You register and enter the price you're happy to pay, sit back and let it bid at 3.30 in the norning or whatever. It emails you the result.
It's most useful if you've watched similar items sell and noted the sale price then compared that with what you'd happily pay for it.
Once you get the hang of it it's so reliable that on the rare occasion you don't get what you want, you feel a bit cheated! If you nuse it more than a few times there's a small charge. Well worth it.
On the other hand if you collect avios you can bid via their site and get points for everything you buy- good for buy-it-now items. (well, not sure it's everything; I think they've limited it to fashion and motoring items).
Just noticed I'm about to hit 2000 posts. Wonder if anything changes?I think....0 -
You rang m'lady?
Funnily enough another lady friend of mine suggested I should set up a personal assistant agency but done online/phone. then a few months later the runner up on the apprentice suggested the same thing as their business idea for lord alan to invest in but he didn't get it at all - apparently she didn't have the filofax to get him a table at the ivy that evening...don't think he understood the target market at all.
Can't say the idea of a second hand exfoliator fills me with joy so I think your idea of tax and shipping free import from the US is a good one. I think for those who don't have mates travelling home soon there are shipping services what will give you a virtual US address and ship on to the UK for companies that don't do international shipping but it doesn't get round the shipping costs/import duty issues.lostinrates wrote: »The more i think about this the better i think it could be. Mse is like the banks, too big for purpose:eek:
DW wants some straighteners for the DDs. Are GHDs really worth twice as much as all the rest?I think....0 -
Just watched last 30 minutes on plus 1, I think I have seen the last 30 mins of this movie about 3 times now but never seen the rest. I think the Police baddies were using the psychopath badly as cover for them kidnapping the girl to make up for their low salaries and pension.
It has been a long week with kids not 100% and interrupted nights plus always intense a work when starting with a new customer as I have to pretend I know what I am talking about while I read in on Wikipedia. Other kids not looking 100% today either and my throat has become very sore but hopefully it is just tired and a bit of rest will let me shake it off rather than going down with it. Eyes are still a bit itchy:eek:PasturesNew wrote: »I hate it when I waste time watching a film..... that I don't understand. I get it was the blond all along and she was in it with the bloke .... but I've no idea what the one who was shot had to do with it, or who was actually the fake teacher.... and so there's something missing.
Also - the two blokes looked the same to me.
I presume that the first nutter, shot by Alex, was a liar and never did the kidnapping in the first place.
And this is why I don't watch films.....I think....0 -

I think I'm starting to understand why this thread is so active in the middle of the night when I'm tucked up asleep. Early morning it tends to be anyone with a smallholding (no pun intended) and me.
Sounds absolutely chuffing terrifying though and I'm glad I don't have it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? That's a more difficult question to answer than it appears at first glance. Black/mixed race hair is much harder to straighten than mine. I can use absolutely anything and it will work, even intense brushing of wet hair. So what I could recommend would not necessarily work on the DDs. I've had a quick google and it seems to suggest that whatever you use they have to be high end ones but if you do want to look into this I'd suggest doing a bit more research (should be right up your street;)) as some of those recommended are even more expensive than GHDs. I know that lir has curly hair though which is probably why you asked the question there. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I know this is the nice people thread but thought I would highlight this

Did I mention.... I HATE packing... and, worse than that is the loading ..... then the driving (hoping nothing falls over) .... and the piggin' unloading.
Just put in 2 hours' packing.... it's not that there's a lot, but I am trying to absolutely pack it perfectly, so that it's in the minimum of boxes, it's all sorted out and correct - and there is a mix between "won't need for up to 2 years, but want to keep" and "will definitely use, or will wish I had available". So ... lots of walking back and forth with tiny, individual items.... and standing, staring, pondering. And repacking, changing boxes.....
The biggest issue is not being able to have or pack a box that I can't physically lift/carry, with my little short weak arms.0 -

Why not just pack the way you want, and get a 'chap' to hump the heavy boxes for you? Perhaps, some local farming lad will do it for you for a six pack of beer, and you can throw in that bag of self-raising flour as a sweetener. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
