My car is back on the road thank goodness....I'm £105 poorer though.
I am currently burning the video's of the band to disc for the other parents (and for one of the grandparents to show to people to get gigs), on the first disc of 3....think this is going to take a while!
The gig went well last night but they didn't win, not surprising really, it is not the right target audience (6th formers who are all into pop type music as judges). They have pretty much decided to stop with the school based things and thus, tried to get out of doing the Chamber concert next week...the school refused. So it will be more messing about with transporting kit for one blooming song, it somehow makes it better if they are doing several songs but one? Nah.
Best news is that they have secured a singer! A female who also goes to their school who can do all types of different music.
Oh well, back to being a media magic person (she says while scratching her head at how to do the blooming thing and hoping it is like burning music to a disc)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I get sleep paralysis now and again. The only vaguely hallucinogenic thing that has happened was when I woke up, couldn't move at all, and could feel myself rising out of my own body, genuinely thought I'd died and my soul was leaving my body. A very weird feeling of freedom.
That is how mine starts. Then I get an eerie feeling that there is something behind me. And then I can see it, a freaky little girl like out of the ring or something like that, creeping up on me, I can see it but can't move. Absolutely effing terrifying. I didn't sleep for 3 nights after the first time it happened. I only found out what it was by accident reading a thread on here somewhere.0 -

I guess in sleep analysis that girl would be your oh approaching with a mortgage application and pen and an engagement ring or handcuffs.0 -

No, I think she's more interested in tearing out my liver. I thought I was being haunted for years. Which is still less scary to me than someone approaching me with a mortgage application.0 -

The hand that lives under the bed got me one night. You know the one, we've all had that hand that lives under the bed, since we were tiny kids... we know it's there and if we don't sleep under the covers it'll get us. Well, one night it did. I was late 20s, had been sleeping on my arm and it'd gone dead, turned over in the night, arm came over and dropped onto my face... I woke up, realised something was on my face, grabbed it with my good hand and could feel it was a hand. Couldn't feel it was my hand as my hand/arm were dead. Freaked out, pulled it away, screamed.... reached the extent of my reach and let go of the hand... which then fell on my face again... repeat.... mum came into my room, turned the light on ... and I realised what'd happened0
