Yep! Hence why I am still online and not out doing shopping at this moment in time.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Grrr.... set out bright and early this morning to go to the National Gallery. Drove to Stanmore to take tube. Thought it was a bit odd that the traffic there was heavy at just after 9am. Got a bit closer and realised the car park was full. Then drove past the front of the station and saw we wouldn't even get on a train as there was a massive queue of Liverpool fans waiting outside the station.
Why on earth is a local derby between two teams from Merseyside being played at Wembley? If it was the final I'd understand, but it wasn't.
Anyhow, we drove to Watford and had a look round the shops instead. Manage to come how with a massive haul of a new dustpan and brush:mad::mad:.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Should have driven to Elstree & borehamwood station, parked in a side road for free, or the station car park and taken the train for the same price.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks silver. I didn't know Elstree was the same price but that's definitely one to consider for the future. I did consider Chorleywood/Rickmansworth but thought as they go through Wembley I'd have the same problem.
I'm also looking at options to get to the Olympic Stadium and I understand that some train routes from further east than me drop down into Stratford before going into Liverpool Street. I don't suppose you know anything about those too do you:o?Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? My 'cousin-in-law' + family live round the corner from Stanmore Station. They ask exactly the same question. Terrible parking/litter problems on match days.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
To be clear, it is only the same price (as Stanmore) after 9.30am weekdays and at weekends as you can buy an off peak zones 1-6 travel card. For single journeys it is more expensive than the tube.

No worries, I wouldn't use it for peak time commuting, I'd use my local station as anything else is a PITA getting through the traffic. I keep an Oyster card in my purse though for weekends as generally at least two of us go in so it works out much cheaper from zone 6. Thanks for the map, that gives us lots more options.
I want to say that the station that goes to Stratford is Potters Bar, but I'll do some more digging into that one. Sorry, I was asleep
Went to the farmers market, came back and fell asleep for 2 hours. H even grouted the bathroom without me noticing. He's also painting me a magnetic patch on the kitchen wall which I will spray with blackboard paint.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
